The freedom of press for African youth in climate action aims to be able to convey various ethical information and improve the role youth plays in solving the climate crisis. We must give Africa's youth the platform to understand climate science and inspire solutions to support the continent. Excited to share my experience from the recent #Youth4AdaptationActionDay at CSIR-STEPRI! 🌍💚 Organized by Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), this event last Saturday was a powerful reminder of the crucial role youth play in #climate #adaptation. Key takeaways: 1️⃣ Panel Discussion Insights (moderated by Mr. Ernest Ofori): a. Collaboration is key in driving effective climate action b. The importance of curiosity - asking questions to deepen our understanding c. Embracing humility - recognizing that achieving our vision requires carrying others along. 2️⃣ Breakout Session on Youth Resilience in Climate Action (led by Nana Minta Asiedu Ampadu-Minta): We delved into factors hindering youth engagement. A significant insight: many of us are held back by the fear of taking necessary #risks. It's time we #overcome this fear to #drive #real #change! I loved the discussions during our breakout session, with Gideon Agyapong, PMP ® always keeping the banter going with me especially at the mention of #GALAMSEY 😂 . These interactions made the learning experience even more enriching! This event was truly empowering, equipping me with knowledge and motivation to make a broader impact in climate adaptation. To my fellow youth: Let's turn our passion into action. What steps are you taking towards climate resilience in your community? #ClimateAction #YouthEmpowerment #ClimateResilience #GAYO

🌍 "Industrialized nations like the U.S., Canada, and those in Europe have contributed to 90% of emissions causing global warming while the African Continent has only contributed less than 4% – however, the greatest impacts of climate change will be felt by Africans." - Chauncia Willis-Johnson Willis, I-DIEM CEO. I-DIEM is dedicated to addressing these disparities. We have traveled to Ghana to leverage our scientific expertise in identifying solutions and resilient measures to assist the people of Africa. This summer, we also launched our inaugural Global Climate and Cultural Fellowship Program to empower youth and catalyze climate action and resilience through innovation. Our goal is to empower communities to better withstand the effects of climate change and to promote climate justice on a global scale. #ClimateJustice #Resilience #ClimateAction #I-DIEMAfrica

Raising climate ambassadors requires intentional effort and dedication. At Aspire Climate Vanguard (ACV), we recognize the urgency of protecting our planet for future generations. Since Earth is our only home, we've launched an initiative to empower climate-smart ambassadors in secondary schools across Nigeria. Our pilot project at Federal Government Girls College, Abuloma, marks the beginning of our journey. We're committed to expanding this program to schools nationwide, cultivating resilient and dedicated climate leaders. Join us in this critical mission! #AspireClimateVanguard
