PART 1: Embarking on the journey of university, I’ve come to understand that while “A picture speaks a thousands words”, it often fails to capture the depth of our experiences. Behind the seemingly serene graduation photos lie tales of the countless hours of studying, moments of doubts trying to be good enough, the hustle and bustle, and many drops of blood, sweat and tears. These past four years was filled with challenges and triumphs, where time seemed to both fly by and stand still. Yet amidst the chaos of trying to balance academic and life’s demands, hard work and perseverance remained constant companions, guiding me through every hurdle and leading me to this moment of achievement. 🎓 This year marks the beginning of working towards a goal of mine that I’ve long envisioned during my undergraduate years. Equally a very exciting and nerve-wrecking adventure. I’ve embarked on pursuing my Masters degree in Clinical Pharmacy at UWC as an academic intern. Standing on the brink of walking into the unknown, feeling like I don’t know a thing and don’t know what lies ahead and my confidence a lottle ( yes- this was intensionally miss-spelled because the word “little” doesn’t resonate with my feeling, but I still want to stay positive 🤪) stirred. Yet I remind myself that every journey starts with a single step. And so, here I am, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that awaits. 💡 One thing I definitely can say for certain is that I’ve encountered some surprising elements that I never expected. They’ve been both unimaginable and simultaneous mind-blowing, providing me with exposure to experiences I would have never fathomed receiving. 👀 👉 See the following post for part ✌️

Are you currently on the job hunt? About to start searching? Considering a return to your roots? There may be more out there than you know! Hear what Dr. Dan Phillips, MVP's Director of University Engagement, has to say about not limiting yourself geographically when you look for your first job. "We’ve learned that home is more than a location. It’s the people, communities, families, and friends that you incorporate into your life no matter the physical distance. An amazing mentor of mine once said to me, “There is no one that advocates better for your personal, professional, and financial goals than yourself.” If the resources, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities you desire don’t exist at home, then you may be limiting yourself professionally by choosing to return to a location that you know in your heart can’t help you achieve your goals. My wife and I always thought that we’d start our lives, family, and career back home in North Carolina, but at the time of graduating, the best opportunities for our goals were in Chicago. As our professional network expanded, additional doors and opportunities continued to open here in Chicagoland. The life-changing mentors we found here gave us the opportunity to reach a level of professional achievement, personal happiness, and financial freedom that, honestly, we never dreamed was possible for ourselves. The best opportunities can be close by, but sometimes, it's somewhere completely unexpected. We return home to Raleigh at least 2 to 3 times a year, and it will forever feel like home for us when we bring our daughter there. Still, we are grateful that we made a choice not to inadvertently limit ourselves and the opportunities for our family by folding to the allure of home. My encouragement to you as you start to think about the next phases of your career is simple: think about your dreams for yourself and your family, then bravely pursue the best opportunities to make those dreams a reality. Sometimes, that may mean exploring opportunities beyond your hometown." Allow our team of dedicated Regional Medical Ambassadors help you find the ideal hospital and location tailored to your goals. Shining a spotlight on the importance of relatable role models in education, and how you can build a sustainable pipeline for your learners.
"Secondary school students are so used to their uniform, the school bells, and the rules they must follow that they really struggle to envision an environment that’s different but where you’re still expected to work. Your alumni can really get involved with this key piece of careers education." Our resident careers consultant, Vic Geary, shares how you can harness the power of your alumni to show your students what ‘a job’ looks like. 👇️ https://lnkd.in/e9ZV6xRq
