I often think back to the day I posted a logo on Instagram, intending to keep a record of my rejected work. To my surprise, this logo ended up being chosen at the last minute to replace the printed designs for my university's annual fest. Even though I missed the deadline by 24 hours, the head of the department was so impressed that they requested a logo replacement from the event coordinator just one day before the fest. This event became my first achievement and sparked my creative side. And now, here I am. The Logo: The theme of the fest was "PARAM, the first computer of India." The logo requirements were: Technology, Modern, Minimal. Concept behind the logo and a hidden element: I began by researching various terms (technical logos, annual fest logos, college logos, IIT fest logos, computer logos, etc.) to gather inspiration. After several hours, I decided to create a logo that unified the different engineering streams. I incorporated a clock and gear to represent mechanical engineering, a circuit diagram for electrical and electronics engineering, and included a hidden element for computer science engineering. The fun fact about the logo is that no one discovered this hidden element until I revealed it. Can you guess what it is? #old #days #achievement #logo #design #ui #ux

🌟 INFINITE presented at Conference of Salesian Schools of Graphic Arts 🌟 The Salesians of Pamplona recently hosted the second technical conference for graphic arts teachers, with about 40 participants from Salesian schools across Spain. The event featured insightful presentations on transformative topics, including a session on "How to improve learning with AI" by University of Navarra professors, highlighting the significant impact of AI on the future job market and education. The second day included a talk by Fernando Valera, an expert in functional printing, who discussed the potential of this innovative field as a future market niche. A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the "INFINITE" Project, a collaborative initiative involving the Salesian Institute of Pamplona, the Functional Press Cluster, the Government of Navarre, and various international partners. Funded by the European Union under the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the project aims to promote and enhance functional printing in the region. The Salesians in Pamplona plan to develop a specialization course in functional printing, with partners in other countries creating similar programs, marking an important step in advancing vocational education. The conference facilitated the exchange of best practices among Salesian schools and provided a platform for acquiring new skills. Participants also visited the DS SMITH PACKAGING BERTAKO Company, further enriching their experience. As Fr Ángel Miranda, Rector of the Salesians in Pamplona, emphasized, these days were about more than just sharing experiences—they were about building collaborative projects and dreaming together. I had the opportunity to visit drupa – no. 1 for printing technologies the world's largest exhibition for the printing and graphic arts industry, thanks to epda (european brand & packaging design association). I was particularly inspired by the innovations on display in drupa's Touchpoint Packaging section (Hall 3 B31). The focus on new sustainable product and packaging solutions was truly fascinating. From eco-friendly materials to cutting-edge design techniques, it's clear that the future of packaging lies not only in creativity but also in sustainability. Here are some of my highlights: - Innovative and sustainable packaging: Discovering new eco-friendly and versatile materials. - I visited a virtual store #StoreVisualizer by VTales graphics and shopped in the metaverse. - Engage with design students: Interact with passionate individuals dedicated to creating a more ethical, fair and sustainable future. - Inspiring conferences: I was particularly moved by Karel J. Golta 's presentation on four different narratives for a #circular (and democratic) future that many of us would like to live in. Integrating sustainability into packaging design is not just a trend, but a necessity for a more ethical and responsible world. #Drupatpp2024 #SustainablePackaging #Innovation #PackagingDesign #PrintingIndustry #GreenPackaging #DesignForTheFuture

Infra Magazine features the doctoral student in its current online issue. Wicaksono is researching transdisciplinary engineering via soft electronics embedded in textiles. He is part of the Responsive Environments Group and a research and teaching assistant. "The more I work in textiles, the more I see the similarities between textiles and electronics — it is fascinating! The way you make wires is similar to fibers — a process called thermo drawing. That's precisely how fibers are created; like cables and braidings...." #mit #engineering #design #textiles https://lnkd.in/eCayWv9F

🪄 Bharath Technology Business Incubator is organizing exhilarating session on “*Injection Molding Design for your Prototype*”, by Dr.M.Senthil Kumar, Head-Bharath TBI (Design Expert in Injection Molds). 🎯 *You will get complete details on*: 👉 Modeling of Part & Die Design 👉 Injection mold design 👉 Parting Line(s), runner, gating, ejecting techniques 👉 Different Molds & Product making processes 🎯 *A preamble about Dr.MSK, especially on injection molding*: He has developed a patented product - Engineering Template for drawing triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon & other polygons easily & quickly, in the year 2001. So far millions of engineering students of Tamil Nadu used this product and scored more marks in Engg. Graphics subject. The part design, die design, the die and the firm ran by him. Like this he has made 15+ products, so far, involving injection molding. 🎯 *How he got the idea of making this* He handles *Engineering Drawing / Graphics subject* since 1996, which has 2-3 hours practice session. In that he observed the students’ struggle in making the drawings. To overcome their struggles he came out with an idea of developing this template. 🎯 To know more about Engg. Template(Art T102) click: https://lnkd.in/gw7zyZVx 🎯 *Who has to attend* 👉 Please attend mainly if you want to learn the above mentioned things from this resource person and not just for the certificate purpose. 🗓 Date: 12th July 2024 : Time: 9am – 4pm. 📍 Mode: OFFLINE : Venue: Bharath TBI. 🎯 *For Registration*: https://lnkd.in/gZG6496P 🎯 *For details*: G.Josephine Sheela, Incubation Manager, Bharath TBI. 📧 josephine.bharathtbi@bharathuniv.ac.in *Bharath Technology Businesss Incubator* Bharath University Campus, #173, Agharam Main Road , Selaiyur , Chennai-600073. #StartupTN #TamilNaduInnovators #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #SolidWorks #CAD #SolidModeling #ProductDevelopment #PrototypeDesign #iitmadrasresearchpark #incubationcell #tbi

I like to fold it, fold it Ya like to, FOLD IT! 📦 💡 Smart #packaging #design never ceases to amaze me. And from time to time my job is to fold one digitally. Last but not least, it was my packaging engineer study which brought me to #cgi. In university, i learned to create packaging #mockups with a plotter and i did spent a lot of time with it. It was great fun and i learned a lot. In the end, i also plotted a fully working bed! and a fingerboard miniramp construction set, but that's a different story. 🤓 When i discovered CGI, i was so amazed, that it enabled me to create all my ideas and designs in a digital way. I didn't had to spend my time in front of the plotter, could change or iterate easily and the best, i'm saving all the real materials for it! Later on, when we moved to more advanced bodies like shampoo bottles and such, learning 3d was even more beneficial. And that's pretty much the story, how i went from packaging #engineer to #3dartist This is an example from a few years back which i created for AR Packaging - Acquired by Graphic Packaging International and kudos to Philipp Eißner for funneling me to job! ❤️ 🙏 Packaging Engineering Verpackungstechnik und Packaging Development Management an der Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart
