As the lead heritage consultant collaborating with architects, Fender Katsalidis, alongside Futuro Capital our mission was to elevate the hotel's offerings while safeguarding its rich heritage, ensuring its enduring presence in Sydney's urban landscape. The renovation encompasses redesigning all 400 guest rooms, suites, corridors, club lounge, and lobby areas, alongside the introduction of a dynamic new dining precinct featuring restaurants and bars. This transformation not only modernises the hotel but also celebrates its illustrious past and architectural significance, designed by associate architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and Laurie & Heath in the post-war international style.
