The Communal series of lifestyle hotels, built on inclusivity and sense of community. Individual handwriting can be felt in each space, but the common thread - a feeling of harmony and coziness - suggests that this mood is not accidental and is an important part of the concept. "Communal" combines boutique-urban hotels in the historical districts of Tbilisi—Sololak and Plekhanov—with a boutique-resort-type hotel in Telavi. The main similarity is the boutique concept, as all hotels are of a similar size and scale. The vision of spatial planning, which creates a chamber and cozy environment in the communal spaces, is consistent. You will find similarities in character and moods in exterior and interior directions. The attention to detail and the rich yet harmonious blend of these details create a feeling common to utility hotels. Our spaces are not corporate and sterile, the environment is warm and comfortable everywhere. As for the distinguishing factors, here everything is simpler: each hotel is inspired by the building, its construction period, and its architecture. This building has an interesting history that defines the city and its various districts. The location dictates the individual look and character of the hotel.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 Yes, architects are masters of their craft, but they often lack specific knowledge in the hospitality industry. A hotel expert is capable of providing architects with valuable insights that will help create a truly efficient and functional hotel infrastructure. They understand how to organize the check-in/check-out processes, where reception, restaurant, bar, fitness center, and other important areas should be located. The expert also helps consider all requirements for lighting, soundproofing, room design, and other elements that impact guest comfort. Engaging a hotel expert during the design stage is a guarantee that the hotel will be thoroughly planned and adapted to the needs of its guests. Ignoring this important aspect means risking designing a beautiful but inconvenient building. Therefore, let`s go partnership in our work to create a quality product.

Why is acoustic design important in hotel spaces? Creating spaces with optimal acoustic qualities ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable guest experience. By reducing noise levels and enhancing speech intelligibility, guests can fully engage in conversations and savor their dining experiences without unnecessary distractions for example. Joseph Baggaley, Director and Building Acoustics Sector Lead was responsible for the acoustic design inputs required for this hotel scheme. Joe has close to 20 years’ experience in building acoustics including working in the hotel sector on schemes such as the Savoy Hotel Refurbishment, Langham Hotel refurbishment, The Lancaster Hotel and The Taj Hotel London. ASTORS HOTEL, BELGRAVIA This project involves the amalgamation of the Astors (106-112 Ebury Street) and Belgravia (102-104 Ebury Street) hotels in London, including internal reconfiguration and refurbishment of six buildings. We were commissioned by EBURY 106 LIMITED to undertake a baseline noise survey and provide a noise impact assessment report to support the detailed planning application for the development. We reviewed the acoustic design issues relevant to inform planning and our unattended noise surveys established the exposure of the building envelope to environmental noise and the background noise levels to determine allowable plant noise emissions.
