✨ Last week, I joined our CEO, Hristo Borisov, on his annual visit to Payhawk’s offices in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. These trips are essential for staying connected across Europe. Here are top 3 reasons they matter so much: 1. Connecting with local customers and partners: Meeting face-to-face is not only a pleasure but also provides direct feedback and context on what’s working well and where we can improve in 2025. 2. Aligning the Team with Our Vision: Local All-Hands sessions give teams a firsthand look at our goals for the region. Hearing it directly from Hristo not only clarifies goals but also instills a sense of purpose and alignment with Payhawk’s mission. 3. Hearing Local Insights: Spending quality time with the local GTM teams is a great opportunity to capture their ideas and ensures our strategies are grounded in real-world insights from each region. Excited for the next part of the trip and all the insights it will bring as we gear up for the new year. 🛫

Have you ever stopped to think about how much time we actually spend with our colleagues? For many of us, that’s *at least* 8 hours a day, 5 days a week – often more time than we get with family! With that in mind, it’s no surprise that our work environment can impact us deeply. A workplace with open communication, constructive feedback, and transparency doesn’t just make things run smoothly; it creates a culture where we actually look forward to showing up each day. Imagine a place where misunderstandings are handled with empathy, where ideas flow freely, and everyone feels valued. A positive work environment doesn’t just enhance productivity; it creates a genuine sense of belonging and motivation. I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by colleagues who foster that atmosphere. Special shoutout to Mollie Corner, who makes it easier to look forward to each day. With people like her on the team, going to work feels less like a “have to” and more like a “can’t wait to” experience. Here’s to all the amazing colleagues out there who make a difference. Let’s continue to support each other, keep things positive, and build workplaces we’re excited to be a part of! 💼🌟

A team of 8, of which: 1 came in late in 2023; 3 just joined us between Jan-Apr this year; and, another was then on leave between Jan-May. I knew the 8 were all great, INDIVIDUALLY, and I was quite happy about the new team setup - even though I knew that we were already in a very challenging moment when they joined, making their training and adaptation more challenging. That was when in April Justin Willhoite (my mentor by then) called my attention to something that started to knock on my mind everyday since then: "What if they don't become great as a TEAM? What are you going to do to prevent from that? You can have very capable people together, but still a team of poor performance." That really got my attention and took my peace away, which was just great! I started to take steps to prevent from it - pushing them to solve problems together, to rely one on another, to be mutually supportive, etc. -, and they have been just surprising me positively all the time! I went on holiday in July - a long one, by the way -, and how great it was to come back in August and see them all well integrated, up to speed, with significant improvements in place, issues and more issues solved, all in a respectful and positive environment. Just as I wished it would be: great as a TEAM! Thank you, Justin Willhoite, for taking my peace away back then! And, thank you to all my team, for briging it back! 🙂 Big challenges are coming, and I know we'll face them on the best way! #cargill #supplychain #wecan!

🚨 LENGTHY POST ALERT (but worth reading!) 🚨 Given we rarely take time to stop and reflect on our successes due to “busy-ness”, I couldn’t help putting this post out into the wild! This week, it’s been made clearer to me more than ever how utterly brilliant my team are! Much of our work can go unnoticed and fade into the background (as it isn’t always customer facing work, therefore we don’t have exciting activity to showcase), however the processes and planning our team delivers is critical to much of our successes across events and customer facing comms. I wanted to call-out a few things that my fab team are delivering… - Leah Salvin has done an amazing job leading the business to success with our recent August BH event (+14% vs target) and through the recent Prime period 👏 - Daniella Foster delivering our first ever involvement in McDonalds Monopoly and has been acing the planning of Christmas at Currys since April (Lots more to come, watch this space! 👀) 🎄 - Lauren Purdie not only supporting the wider brand team on projects, but also leading on our planning for 25/26 (including new innovative ideas coming). All as well as wrapping up our Q1 period and capturing key learnings to ensure we deliver improvements for next year 🗓️ - Jess Varley not only getting stuck into her first quarter of planning after a few months of joining (and bossing it), but also challenging and pushing for improvements at every step of the process 👊 - Rhys Sleeman stepping up and not only owning some exciting events for us coming up, but also masterminding some really exciting plans for next year (again, watch this space 👀)👌 All of this is on top of countless initiatives our team delivers that contributes towards improving ways of working, culture and ultimately making lives easier for 150+ colleagues in CCO. As we get into Christmas, we won’t have lots of time to reflect so I took this chance! A huge personal thank you to my fab team who continue to impress and deliver huge amounts of (often unseen) value for Currys! This also applies to Thomas Welland and his team Shannagh Vella Tom Sutton Georgie Snape Center Kate Taylor who also do some fantastic, but often unseen work 🙌

I’m so excited… and I just can’t hide it. 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 (𝐑𝐄)𝐒𝐄𝐓. 𝐀 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐝!!! Today I couldn’t be more excited. Because what could be more exciting than what we have achieved in the last 5 years? What could be more exciting than starting a company, building it up from 0 to 50 without ANY external money, and all this whilst facing COVID and the War in Ukraine? What could be more exciting than building this without making ANY compromises to our mission? Without ever trading impact for Euros? (not even once !) What could be more exciting than the wonderful feedback we receive every day from our partners and our clients (now north of one hundred per year)? What about signing our first 7 figure contract? And what could be more exciting than bringing together the amazing talents who now form the (RE)SET team, helping them grow, fighting altogether for what we believe in? For what we think is 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲. Only one thing could be more exciting. More inspiring: Being sure that we will have the resources to be 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 and scale the impact we can have. Being sure that, in the future, we will have the means to scale 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑. To expand our family/tribe/team with people sharing the same convictions and energy. The same goals and the exact same willingness to work 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 to solve the most important problem humanity have to faces today. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐈’𝐦 𝐬𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 (𝐑𝐄)𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜, 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. We are now 650 people in the trenches. With one obsession: doing things instead of talking. Because today, words weigh too little in the fight. Only work matters. Hard work. I’ve been asked many times about how we managed to kickstart (RE)SET and grow it so fast. I rarely took the time to share our experience but from now on, I’ll share more about our journey. This is the High Performance Team Event we ran… To close out the year and because so much of our team is virtual we had to think outside of the box. We brought in a Grammy Nominated, Oprah’s 100 List, Star Aligned, World Class Poet: IN-Q ..to run an event that truely made our team dig deeper than we normally would with the people that we work alongside. This is what Team Building & DRIVING CULTURE is all about! The first step to creating a strong event is to get 100% clear on the purpose and outcome of what you are trying to achieve by running it. This should be well thought through while considering where the business is currently at, and where it needs to go (both long-term vision and short-term goals). When executed well, this type of activity will: • Strengthen culture and build relationships within your team • Help problem solve how the team can accomplish and hit goals for the rest of the year • Be a cost-effective way to reward your team • Get work done, increase skill, and update your team while having fun at the same time A Business is only as good as the people that work its systems. Culture is the driving force behind a successful business. We’re excited to level up in 2025, dig deeper with our team, grow as humans and solid people, and be a catalyst to the other businesses we work alongside. ✔️✔️✔️

Awesome to get some of the Thanx team together IRL. How we made this in-person "offsite" more than just a fun boondoggle (and still had tons of fun): • We aligned our 48 hours around our 12-month strategic plan — teams were tasked with brainstorming and implementing the highest-value initiatives that could move the needle before we left Seattle. • This hackathon-like approach allowed focus (ignore distractions) but the goal was not actually the work output of just two days. The goal was to reset our own bar for what could be accomplished as a team when we row in the same direction — a measure we can hold ourselves accountable to even when everyone is back at their home office. • Some of the biggest insights: 1) we can do more to minimize our "critical" distractions, 2) Slack is an asset but real-time virtual comms are often part of the problem so... 3) writing down our goals and how we will measure success is a powerful way to stay aligned without talking in real-time (go slow to go fast). • What gets measured gets managed. Every team should know how their work would quantifiably change a core business outcome... for Thanx and/or for customers. • Clearly it wasn't all work — seen here at Flatstick Pub — but the drinking and games were secondary to the business goals.
Last week, a bunch of Thanxers gathered in Seattle for an impactful cross-functional offsite dedicated to brainstorming and strategizing on how to enhance our communications and products to better serve our customers. The beautiful weather and vibrant city backdrop fueled our creativity, leading to breakthrough ideas that we are eager to implement. Every discussion was centered on how we can deliver more value and better experiences to the industry. These moments away from the (virtual) desk are crucial! They rejuvenate our team and strengthen our commitment to making restaurant-focused technology. Exciting times ahead as we put our plans into action — stay tuned!

🌟 I am honored to work alongside some great people who are passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community. For the past several weeks, our sales and marketing team at ShareSTAFF has been strategizing and planning our first company-wide initiative. This initiative was collaborative and fun and added some friendly competition between the teams, but it resulted in massive success. I did want to give a special shout-out to some remarkable players from our two-day event who went above and beyond to ensure that we were successful by 124% of the completion goal that we were initially aiming for. 🚀 ⭐ Chauncy Fifer - You led one of the teams, and I appreciated your thoroughness and dedication to gathering information. This led to the implementation of several proposals for our services. Your feedback has enabled our team to develop and work together at each event. ⭐ Selena N. -You made the impossible happen by ensuring that our target market was organized and that we had administrative support throughout the entire process. You even took the initiative to speak directly with customers in person, going above and beyond to make it happen. ⭐ Tee Alarcon - Your creativity and innovation brought some incredible ideas for promoting our brand through the goodie bags you prepared for our clients. The bags included a fun message and our contact information. We appreciate your participation in yesterday's event and your contributions to the conversations that took place. 📢 I wanted to express my gratitude to our branch operations team (Monserrat Bautista, and ALFREDO CALZADA) for participating in our event. They were not only attentive listeners but also actively engaged in conversations with representatives from different companies. It takes a special kind of person to adapt quickly to change, and I must say that our recruiting team did a phenomenal job by staying engaged and effectively presenting the recruitment and onboarding process to our potential clients. We all play a critical role in the success of a company and initiative, and I am happy to be doing this alongside all of you. Cheers to an amazing week, and I look forward to continuing to have many more events like this. Is everyone in your team clued up on the big picture? 🌍 It's pretty common, especially here in Ireland, to see a bit of a disconnect within companies about the broader goals. Whether the boss wants to cash out or gun for rapid growth, it’s crucial that the whole team knows the game plan. Often, you’ll find marketing teams ready to charge ahead not realising that higher-ups might have different ideas because the profits aren’t where they’d like. From what I've seen, American companies are a bit sharper at keeping everyone in the loop, but there’s definitely a shift happening here too. It's essential for everyone, from marketing to operations, to understand the strategy, not just the tasks they handle every day. 🌐 Moving forward, it’s about making sure everyone's actions are aligned with the company's goals. A little transparency goes a long way in making decisions that drive collective success. Here’s to making openness a priority and really syncing our efforts to make our businesses thrive.
