This year, I've pledged my support to The Haven - Nepean Women's Shelter in my annual campaign against Domestic and Family Violence. It's time to confront the urgent reality. In Australia, family and domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness. Shockingly, in 2022-23, nearly half of those desperately seeking shelter found none. How can we allow this to persist? How can we let domestic violence drive families into the streets? These are the questions that demand answers. Deep down, we know we can do better. We must do better. For the next three months, every note of "Don't Turn Back" will serve as a lifeline for those enduring unimaginable suffering. This isn't just a song; it's a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest times, there are hands reaching out to lift you up. Today, you hold the power to make a difference. With just a few clicks, you can stream or download "Don't Turn Back" and stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this crucial mission. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee, you can help rewrite countless lives. It’s that simple. We each hold the power to contribute; within us lies the potential to enact real change. This issue surpasses statistics and discussions, it demands immediate action. We cannot afford to wait for endless roundtables and fruitless consultations. The time for action is now! Churches and Mosques are places to worship God, but not places of robbery and slavery. I am the richest person in the world if I got only the commission from what has been cashed out only ; This Jewish Family Secretly Rules The World (youtube.com); Who ACTUALLY runs the world? (Documentary) (youtube.com);I don’t want to only secure my wealth, but also get 81 females of different races and faiths on billionaires list(Richest Man in the World 2024 ⭐ Billionaires List [March] (beinsure.com)); 61. How the autobiography of a Muslim slave is challenging an American narrative (youtube.com); The opera "Omar," on a Muslim slave in America (youtube.com); African Muslims in Early America (youtube.com): The Rothschilds: The Richest Family In The World (youtube.com): I don’t have interest to control the world, but both the USA and Ethiopia along with churches and some Muslims cannot make me the richest slave because of my color and religion forever. Others go by Limo and with private security, I am on street movie in this shameless world. Just like Bill Gate and others do I can donate my money for the poor and disadvantaged ones but I can’t be enslaved and robbed for non-profit and others. The Catholics do not have right to tell me, I need sex for reproduction only, and force me to be slave with my wealth illegally. If they have policy of dispossess people based on their religion and color of skin, they have to face the rule of law.

As we enter the second term of the Trump presidency, conversations are in the air: Will the NEA and NEH face renewed threats under this administration? This concern is heightened by the passage of HR 9495 in the House, as discussed in this Nonprofit Quarterly article (https://lnkd.in/epq6newR). The bill, titled the "Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act," would grant the treasury secretary, a presidential appointee, the authority to strip a nonprofit of its tax-exempt status if deemed a “terrorism-supporting” organization. This broad and potentially subjective power raises serious questions about its implications for nonprofits engaged in critical work, including advocacy and cultural initiatives. As someone navigating the job search in this sector and advocating for equitable, inclusive futures, I can’t help but feel concerned. In a time when collective action is more crucial than ever, this is a call to unite. Consider joining (artistic) groups or communities to combat isolation and the growing culture of individualism—it’s through collaboration and shared resilience that we can face these challenges head-on. What are your thoughts? How do we prepare, protect, and continue our work for collective impact? #Arts #Culture #Policy #Leadership #Advocacy #Community

Great to hear Emily talking about barriers to reading for adults on BBC Radio Manchester, and the exciting news about two new Read Easy groups in Salford and Bolton 📚 🧡 Three important points from the interview: 1. 1 in 10 people struggle with literacy. It’s an issue right across the country. 2. “Anybody can learn. There is no time in your life when it’s not possible.” 3. Read Easy works – 90% of adults learning with say they feel more confident and more independent, and 92% say they read more to children and family members as a result. If you know someone in #Medway who would be interested in free, confidential 1:1 reading coaching, get in touch with our friendly team to find out more - medwayleader@readeasy.org.uk Read Easy is recruiting across the country and we have volunteering opportunities in Medway too. 🌍✨ We Are the Change Our Youth Deserve: The Off-Road Music Project for UK Youth ✨🌍 Enough is enough. The streets of the UK are witnessing thousands of stabbings and gang-related violence, tearing apart families, and leaving children feeling lost, unsafe, and alone. Poor policing and government failures have left a massive void—and WE are stepping up to fill it. The Off-Road Music Project is here to create a safe haven for our youth, keeping them away from gangs and guiding them toward a path of music, purpose, and empowerment. Our Vision: We’re building a sanctuary where kids can unleash their creativity, discover the power of music, and find a better path. From learning to DJ, rap, write, and produce music to exploring music history and positive behavior classes like meditation and mindfulness, we’re providing a holistic foundation for a brighter future. And it’s not just music: we’re offering life skills, mentorship, education, and support with employment, housing, and business startups. But here’s the reality: we’re starting from the ground up. We need the public’s support NOW to get the equipment, space, and resources to make this vision real. 💥 Every pound, every share, every message of support counts. 💥 Let’s give our youth a way out. Let’s create an environment where they can grow into stable, skilled, and self-assured adults. 💥 We’re doing what others have failed to do: saving the future of our children. Get Involved: 🚀 Donate if you can—no amount is too small. 🚀 Share this post, spread the word, talk to your networks. 🚀 Help us bring The Off-Road Music Project to life. Together, we can rewrite the future. Let’s do this. Let’s save our children. ✊❤️ #SaveOurYouth #TheOffRoadMusicProject #EndGangViolence #HopeThroughMusic https://lnkd.in/evAvKE2Z

It's national voter registration day and I was thinking compassionately about how hard so many people and groups of people have fought to access their born right to engage within our human family as equals. Nature knows: radical diversity is one of the key principles to sustaining life on this planet. We humans fight that and have for thousands of years. It's all fear driven. Fear of other. Diversity is life. Each voice is part of the whole. May we all feed the human ecosystem by casting our votes and empowering others to as well – as equals, and out of love. What documents do you need to register to vote? In most cases, you will need either a driver’s license or a state ID to register to vote. If you do not have either of these, you may be able to provide other types of documentation, including a bank statement or utility bill. But the required documents you need to register vary by state. (Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gcQEryDi). Sharing here Max Richter's masterpiece, "All Human Beings", which includes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, drafted in 1948, and read by Eleanor Roosevelt, Kiki Layne, Hiba Sellaoui. May we all aspire to this highest appreciation and protection of life. #vote #love #respect #equality
