JMP Securities analysts are optimistic about Flutter Entertainment ’s recent acquisition of a 56% stake in NSX Group, arguing that it would allow the latter company to drive strong synergies in Brazil. According to a NEXT.io report, JMP Securities believes that Brazil’s large population and ongoing sports betting regulation will be a catalyst for success. Flutter, for context, just acquired a 56% stake in Betnacional’s parent company, NSX Group. This arrangement, expected to close in early 2025 and subject to regulatory approvals, would combine Betfair Brazil’s operations into NSX, creating a new entity called Flutter Brazil. Mobile Streams (MOS) has seen a significant rise in its share price recently, and several factors are contributing to this upward trend. The company has gained strong momentum, particularly in its digital and gaming sectors. Notable developments include the expansion of its Mexican casino and sportsbook business, where over 5,000 games have been launched on the platform. Additionally, strategic partnerships, such as the one with Club America for NFT membership cards, have likely bolstered investor confidence. In just the past 24 hours, MOS shares have surged by 16.19%, capping a remarkable 51.36% increase over the last week. This could be attributed to not only these recent business developments but also an improvement in the company’s financial performance, with narrowing losses reported earlier this year. As Mobile Streams continues to grow and expand its digital content offerings, particularly in lucrative markets like Mexico, investors seem to be optimistic about the company's future. Exciting times ahead! 🚀

Flutter Entertainment has received an upgrade from JP Morgan which is taking a more positive stance on the Betfair and Paddy Power owner than previously on its prospects in the US. FanDuel is Flutter’s big brand in the US and JP Morgan has raised forecasts for revenue and profit growth at the business into double-digits from 2026 onwards. Driving this, says the broker, is an increase in the total addressable market as more states legalise, market share gains including the underappreciated iGaming and margins increments as scale increases. Overweight is now JP Morgan’s investment stance against neutral previously, while the price target is now 21,300p offering a potential 25% upside. Shares rose by 2% to 17,590p. Our Q2 2024 Media and Marketing Services sector report shows that gaming transactions were the most popular sub-sector of TV, film and entertainment for acquirers. The UK has a global reputation for creativity, a strong talent pool and an established gaming ecosystem, making it an attractive sector to overseas investors. It is of little surprise, therefore, that BFI's report last year showed that overseas entities now own more than 50% of UK developers. Owners of businesses looking to maximise their proceeds through a sale process should start thinking about how to optimise their business in preparation much sooner than you would think.... https://lnkd.in/efKPEGjt
