Training opportunities: A number of OBBN trainers remain active, and several training opportunities will be available in 2025. We will keep you informed about upcoming training as course dates are announced.  Requests for training can be submitted to obbn@ontario.ca. Such requests help us to assess the level of interest and need for training regionally, and information about upcoming courses is shared first with members of this list. ....... My colleagues and I noticed the lack of available OBBN training over the last few years and a need from junior staff who want it, so this is a good sign! If you're new to the environmental field or feel stuck in your role, OBBN training and certification are a good asset to diversify your skills and set yourself apart from others!

Rev David Njoka, a senior pastor at a church in Nairobi, attended a training led by the authors of "Helping Without Hurting in Africa". During the training, he learnt that it's important to consider a person's access to resources before providing assistance. He emphasized that we should determine whether a person needs relief, rehabilitation, or development support based on their current situation.
