So will AI replace call centers? Let me tell you, the advancements in Voice AI and LLM's have opened so many doors of possibility that AI bots can certainly do a majority of call center work. But here is the thing, this would also allow a startup or an upcoming FMCG or D2C company to also setup a similar call center infra just like their large rivals. The cost of setting up and running business has come drastically down using AI. AI is not going to replace humans, but humans using AI would certainly do. We at hirex.ai have also enabled AI tools for our customers to conduct large scale interviews similar to much larger rivals who have an army of recruiters and internal teams to do similar interview and recruitment campaigns at scale. All this at a fraction of the cost. Get your FREE account now and start growing your team and business https://www.hirex.ai https://lnkd.in/gRE86nEv

Recent Accenture survey of 2,800 c-suite executives: ➡️ 49% of c-suite leaders say their gen AI investments are outperforming other investments ➡️ 51% say AI helps them better measure customer satisfaction and gather feedback ➡️ nearly 100% of c-suite leaders say gen AI has influenced how their businesses acquire and retain customers ➡️ some businesses reporting overall productivity increases of 30%, and customer satisfaction ratings increasing by 60% “As an emerging technology, AI is different from other technological advancements with its potential to materially impact every aspect of an organization. Our research found that AI is enabling reinvention and accelerating organizations’ performance much faster than previous technological cycles across industries.” Yes. AI is not a 'new tool', it's much broader than that. And if you're stuck on how to get started, just do what biotech company Genmab did: "To provide a starting point for employees, Genmab had a simple but effective idea: they encouraged employees to give ChatGPT Enterprise their job description and ask, 'What can you do to help me?'" What’s happening to VAs in the Age of AI? Virtual Assistants (VAs) are the unsung heroes behind so many businesses, yet I'm sensing unease among VAs as AI tools become faster, cheaper, and more accessible. What happens to VAs when AI can handle the mundane, repetitive tasks they’ve traditionally managed? I’ve heard mixed reactions in conversations with VAs and business owners alike: • Some VAs see it as a threat – fearing replacement by algorithms that work 24/7, never take a sick day, and don’t send invoices. • Other VAs see it as an opportunity—a chance to offload busywork and step into more strategic roles that AI can’t replicate. The tools are there, but the transition isn’t automatic. For businesses, this is a wake-up call. Are we positioning our VAs for success, giving them access to the training and AI tools they need to evolve? Or are we unintentionally pushing them into obsolescence by viewing AI purely as a cost-cutting measure? The VA market is at an inflection point. As more tasks traditionally handled by offshore agencies shift to AI solutions, we have to ask, "how will VAs reposition themselves in this evolving landscape?" Some VAs are leaning in, mastering tools like Zapier + ChatGPT to become process automation experts. Others are focusing on human-first skills: creative problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking... things that AI can’t fully replicate. For businesses, it’s not just a question of automation. Do we value the reliability of AI-driven agents over the nuance of human connection? Is there still inherent value in having a person to collaborate with, or does AI’s ability to work faster, cheaper, and around the clock outweigh that? Where do you stand? Have you started replacing VA tasks with AI, or are you seeing new roles emerge instead? #VirtualAssistants #AI #FutureOfWork

This is a classic misunderstanding. The article is straightforward. Even goes so far as to point out the hype while discussing the upside. But the first comment from a reader shows the massive gap that exists between those who understand genAI and perhaps the majority who think it’s ‘just a chatbot’. Here’s the comment: “This guy has no idea. Every time l call my bank it is because of an issue where I need a specialist to help. A chatbot was never going to resolve my issues.” Let’s be clear. GenAI is nothing like the chatbots we are used to experiencing in the average call center. Yes, there’s a lot more work needed to really deploy this tech at scale to achieve the vision being discussed here. But to confuse genAI with the chatbot and automated systems that have been around for more than a decade shows how much more education is needed. The fact that we’re talking about FT readers here is also interesting. It shows that embracing genAI is probably more closely correlated with attitude (ie open-mindedness) than age or even intelligence. #genAI #openmindedness #cusiosity
