Abu Dhabi's transition from diesel to renewable energy for public transport is set to reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by over 100,000 tonnes. The city is already seeing significant improvements in air quality, thanks to its growing fleet of green buses powered by hydrogen and electricity. Currently, 19 green buses operate, with one on Route 65 between Marina Mall and Shams Boutique on Al Reem Island, and another on Route 160 serving regional routes.
