Every year, I try my best to help my local automotive industry partners take advantage of the best promotions of the year on Hunter equipment. This year, like every year prior from what I can remember, Hunter offered the strongest promos for independent auto repair shops at the #Sema show in Las Vegas. Most people I talk to about the Sema show don't realize it is the largest trade show in Las Vegas all year long. The scale, the volume, the custom cars, the Kindig booth, the Foose booth, the Hunter Engineering booth are absolutely something to behold. Fun, informative, the new underground Las Vegas Loop powered by Tesla transportation (look it up, it's so cool). Some make it to Vegas, some do not and for those that did not, I offer you this for motivation for next year. https://lnkd.in/espiAJRU Opportunities come and go, which ones will you take advantage of when you hear the knock at your door?

Starting 2025’s book recommendations with Pacejka’s Tyre and Vehicle Dynamics. He is best known for creating the ‘magic formula’ tyre model, and while this is covered in good detail, there are plenty of interesting total vehicle dynamics concepts covered as well. I wouldn’t recommend this as your entry point into the subject, as it gets into complex ideas very early on, but for someone who’s finished with Milliken and is interested in something more modern, this one is a great next step. #vehicledynamics #motorsport

Take a minute to think about this – Who is the biggest #car enthusiast in your life? As someone who works for General Motors, you may automatically assume that I would pinpoint someone at work that fits this description. This person hits a little closer to home for me though. It’s my 5-year-old, Carter. I honestly think he came out of the womb obsessed with cars. He has definitely earned his nickname “Car Car” in the short amount of time that he’s been on this planet. All the signs of car obsession: 🚙 He LOVES to build his own cars – out of legos of course. - 😊 There are 8 large bins of hot wheels cars in our house with his name on them (my guess = 500+ toy cars) - 💤 To fall asleep, Carter MUST have one toy car in each hand - 👩💼 When I started my current role, he believed that I sought it out specifically for his love of cars (I thought it was cute when he thanked me for “Getting this car job for us.” LOL) Imagine how excited Carter is at the opportunity to attend the Detroit Auto Show. It’s literally been brought up in conversation for DAYS.   👉 If you haven’t heard, the Detroit Auto Show is just around the corner running from January 10 – 20 at Huntington Place. On top of all of the amazing vehicles, there are going to be interesting hands-on experiences.
