Funding applications for local business to develop ideas, proof of concepts and prototypes using immersive technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality to enhance visitor attractions! The Augment the City Challenge Competition, led by Belfast City Council’s City Innovation Office and funded by the Belfast Region City Deal is now OPEN for applications. Local businesses interested in applying for funding can find out more by registering for an online briefing event taking place on 18 April 2024. The funding competition will be delivered across three phases: ➡️ Phase 1: Up to ten companies will be offered up to £10,000 each to develop their concepts. This will include an in-person presentation pitch in Belfast at the end of phase 1. ➡️ Phase 2: Up to five companies will be offered up to £35,000 to further develop their proposals. ➡️ Phase 3: Up to three companies will be offered up to £100,000 each to develop prototypes. 🚀 A fresh new look - but it goes far deeper than that. ➡️⬆️ Coming to actually write something about this here is harder than it should be… but here goes. This is so much more than just a rebrand. I describe it as a repositioning with a fresh identity, but it’s been more than that, too. It’s a huge moment on our journey at PaceUp. A step forward. And a chance to stop and reflect back, to ensure we embrace our identity moving forward. We’re shedding the plucky start up coat and stepping up. Just over six years ago, my cousin did me a quick favour and mocked up a few logo ideas following a rough brief of agency positioning and vision. From there, the first agency identity was born and it stuck around for a while! For the next five years, the idea of revisiting this and leveling up visually was always in mind, and desired, but client partners have come first. Finally, last year, we made the necessary changes to create time within the agency for this project to breathe. Pandora’s box was well and truely opened. A lot of reflection, talking, planning. Now we’re at day 1 of v2. The start of the next phase. And there’s so much to come. Treating PaceUp like a client partner and taking pride in the work done on this new project is exciting. The event was an electrifying showcase of creativity, where the brightest minds in Location-Based Entertainment came together to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
