Super valuable report for businesses setting long term goals/direction. I will certainly use to frame my future thinking. For example: Nouveau Nihilism - from a brand stand point this is great - lots of ways to tap into the element of immediate reward for many categories. Reward holds a positive brand platform that sit very comfortably with many brand directors. - from a Corporate responsibility/Brand purpose stand point its trickier, more people are living for today and a growing trend to absolve responsibility for the future AND an expectation for others to solve big issues for them (drawing on the issue of Climate change 'I'm doing all I can...... (72%), 'companies are not playing their part (77%) 'the government need to ....(do more).... 81%') The implications is that companies/brands need to do and say more than ever. I predict this trend will explode in the next 10 years. Gen alpha are being raised by parents navigating Pandemics, social media mistrust, & polictical incompetence/scandals. This is going to massively impact the core values and interests of this generation. Being aware how this plays out and understanding what will matter to consumers in the future is critical. I would encourage brands and business to keep track of this trend - and the other 8 in this report. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have spent 24yrs leading Insights and Analytics teams to help businesses get stuff done. I think about problems differently and simplify complexity. I'm currently consulting for a number of organisations. DM me if you have a challenge I could help with. Dawn
