Sometimes, it’s not about getting the work; it’s about getting the skills to back it up.💫 So, before you chase the next gig, ask yourself: Have I doubled down on mastering my craft? Am I truly prepared to deliver my best? If not, don’t rush it. Put in the reps, refine your skills, and when the time comes, you won’t just get work—you’ll own it. Thank you to @Ogunsanya leye for this priceless insight. Anyone can learn to draw, but what sets you apart is your ability to think visually. Visual thinking can make your conversations more impactful and memorable. Ever felt that words alone fall short, or that you’re overwhelmed by text and numbers? You're not alone. We’re visual beings, and we process information better through images, connections, and layouts. Emojis help us express emotions, colors give us vibes, and we remember faces and graphs more than names and numbers. Our minds naturally work in visuals, and we can harness this to enhance our communication. If you’re fascinated by visuals or eager to learn more, our 5th edition cohort is now open for registration! "Draw Your Thoughts" will transform the way you process information. We would love to be able to say that the last time we caught ourselves doing this... *** was prior to our awareness that the way we talk and think about ourselves has a lot of influence on us, our experiences and our context. * Yet, these limiting 'word & thought chunks' somehow still occasionally find a sneaky way to enter out minds. * We are practicing, keeping our eyes on the immersive horizon ahead of us, collecting information and seeking inspiration for what’s next based on experiences lived. * Once every while we meet to elevate our perspectives and enrich each others thought developments with new & helpful nudges. * Also with our clients ✨ * It’s incredibly rewarding and inspiring and it literally unleashes insights, ideas and inspiration. * We have developed a concept that allows to nurture this process in a systematic way: the full Values Driven Journey 🌱 * Get in touch if you would like to know more. * In the meantime, lot’s of success with this busy period 🍀 * & Best Wishes✨ ___ What we do >>> https://lnkd.in/eM5vHuEK Who we are and why we do it >>> https://lnkd.in/e49axWFm A few clients, cases & reviews so far >>> https://lnkd.in/e_bg2nMj * TIP! Ever felt like giving up on a project because it seems too challenging? What if I told you that giving your 100% before throwing in the towel could be the game-changer you need? In the world of graphic design and brand building, persistence is key. It's not just about having a great idea; it's about nurturing that idea, refining it, and pushing through challenges until it becomes a reality. Here’s why giving your all before giving up is crucial. So, why does #Persistence Matter? Innovation: True innovation comes from relentless effort and the willingness to explore new possibilities. In graphic design, this means experimenting with different styles, techniques, and concepts until you find the perfect fit. Resilience: Overcoming obstacles and setbacks builds resilience, making us stronger and more adaptable. Whether it's a challenging client brief or a tight deadline, persistence helps us deliver outstanding results. Excellence: Striving for excellence means never settling for mediocrity. It’s about pushing boundaries and exceeding expectations, ensuring that every design and brand strategy we create is impactful and memorable. Tips for Staying Persistent: Set Clear Goals: Break down your project into manageable tasks and set clear, achievable goals. This helps you stay focused and motivated. Seek Feedback: Don’t be afraid to ask for feedback from peers or mentors. Constructive criticism can provide new insights and help you improve your work. Stay Positive: Maintain a positive mindset and remind yourself of past successes. This can boost your confidence and keep you motivated. Take Breaks: Sometimes, stepping away from a project for a short while can provide a fresh perspective and renewed energy. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate small achievements along the way. This can keep you motivated and remind you of the progress you’re making. Join us on this journey of persistence and innovation. Let's create something extraordinary together! #TheDextrous #BrownCurves21 #Concepts #Innovation #GraphicDesign #BrandBuilding

🌟 Grateful for a Valuable Session! 🌟 Today, I had the pleasure of engaging in a truly insightful conversation with Terry Y. Han who is passionate about supporting junior designers. Our discussion was packed with actionable advice and eye-opening perspectives that I’m excited to implement in my design journey. I want to extend my deepest thanks to Terry Y. Han for her time, wisdom, and generous knowledge sharing. 🙌 💡 Key Takeaways: Categorize Mentors: Identify mentors based on their backgrounds and expertise to better tailor your questions and maximize the value of their guidance. Ask Specific Questions: When seeking feedback, ask mentors about specific designs or challenges rather than just requesting a general portfolio review. This leads to more focused and actionable advice. Build Value-Focused Case Studies: Showcase case studies that highlight the value you’ve added through your designs, not just the visuals. This demonstrates your problem-solving abilities and the impact of your work. This session was a great reminder of the importance of self-assessment, building meaningful connections, and being open to constructive criticism. Looking forward to applying these insights and continuing to grow as a designer! 🚀 #mentorship #designfeedback #careerdevelopment #userexperience #designgrowth

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬—𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐨 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐈𝐭 When I first started out as a graphic designer, someone told me, "𝙋𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣." Honestly, at the time, I thought it was just the usual advice everyone gives. But here’s what I’ve learned—it’s gold. 📌 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: No matter how talented you are, consistency is what sets you apart. It’s not about being the best today but showing up and getting better every day. 📌 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Trends change, tools evolve, and the market shifts. Staying updated is non-negotiable. The ability to adapt quickly has been one of my biggest assets. 📌 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: From design to virtual assistance, the skills I’ve honed didn’t just appear overnight. I invested time, effort, and energy into learning. That investment keeps paying off every day. 📌 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀: The relationships I’ve built have been game-changers. Whether it’s with clients, mentors, or fellow creatives, relationships open doors that talent alone cannot. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶—𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺. ❗️My takeaway for you? 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙪𝙥. 𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨. 𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚. ✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲? 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬! As designers, it’s easy to overlook the small wins, especially when we’re focused on the big goals. But those little steps—like learning a new tool, finishing a case study, or nailing down a personal project—are what really build momentum. If you’re still on the job hunt, remember that every skill you sharpen, every project you complete, and every piece of feedback you get is a step closer to where you want to be. Celebrate those small wins! They’re proof you’re growing and moving forward, one step at a time. #design #career #job
