There will be a day when you decide to step up your video game and buy a mirrorless camera. If that happens, you have to learn a few things. The first thing to do is to switch to manual and set your exposure correctly. Why? [I'm glad you asked] While you are shooting, the light in the place you record might change. When in auto, the camera balances it out, going brighter or darker. It's distracting, and the camera will do a bad job most of the time. Going manual to keep exposure consistent across the video will make you look like a pro. Let's look at the steps: - Once you set the frame rate to 24, 25 or 30 fps, you need to select the correct shutter speed - 1/50 (for 24 and 25 fps) or 1/50 (for 30 fps). - You will then use ISO and Aperture (aka Iris) to set the correct exposure. - Now, the most essential question is how to set the proper exposure like a pro.
