The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence begins today, uniting a global movement to end all forms of gender-based violence. Since 1991, this campaign has spanned Nov. 25—International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—to Dec. 10, Human Rights Day. It’s a time to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and build solidarity for change. Gender-based violence disproportionately affects women, Indigenous women, women with disabilities, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and others at higher risk. It takes many forms, impacting lives daily. ✨ What can you do? Join us in building a culture of respect and safety. Explore activities, access resources, and take meaningful action. Together, we can create a future free from violence. 💜 #16DaysOfActivism

16 Days of Activism: A Call to Action for a Violence-Free Future As we observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we are reminded that this global campaign is not just about raising awareness—it's about sparking real change. From November 25th, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to December 10th, Human Rights Day, we come together to stand against violence in all its forms, to amplify the voices of those affected, and to take collective action towards creating safer, more equitable societies for all. While the 16 Days of Activism provide an important moment for reflection and action, we must remember that the fight against gender-based violence is year-round. We all have a role to play in raising awareness, supporting survivors, and advocating for change. The Safegaurding Team Poplar HARCA have been focusing on raising awareness across the business. They’ve put posters up across centres and will be hosting a lunch and learn next week to speak about this important topic. Thanks to George Phidia, Sharma Begum, Farzana and Simona for all the great work you do with victim survivors all year round. Let’s use this time to learn, speak out, and commit to building a future where violence is no longer tolerated and equality is upheld. #16DaysOfActivism #EndViolence #GenderEquality #BreakTheCycle #HumanRights #ActForChange
