Yesterday I participated in the panel "Developing and accessing hydrogen infraestructure under the new regulatory environment" at the @European Hydrogen Week💚. Perfecty moderated by Eva Hennig, that provided a very insightful analysis of the challenges facing our industry, it was a pleasure to share the session with: Dr. Leif Kröger that explained how electrolysers can help to balance power system in a hourly basis, Gilles Bouder who put the emphasis on the seasonal flexibility provided by the H2Power solutions (fuel cells) Gilles Decan that ilustrated the commitment of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges with the development of the green molecules market. On #Moeve side, I shared our last achievements in the #AndalusianGreenHydrogenValley and highlighted the role of regulation to link power and hydrogen sectors to get the most competitive LCOH (reducing power supply costs) and to take advantage of the flexibility provided by electrolysers to maximize renewable production integration and reduce new investments in power infraestructure.💚  #EUH2Week2024 #PositiveMotion #GreenHydrogen #ValleAndaluzdelHidrogenoVerde #EnergyTransition #GreenMolecules

Making hydrogen simple Yesterday I had the pleasure of presenting at the Aachen Hydrogen Colloquium 2024 on Linde's unique setup, proprietary technologies, and experience in the storage and distribution of hydrogen. Linde is leading the way in the transition to a green hydrogen economy, with innovative technologies focusing on greenhouse gas emission reduction and liquid hydrogen distribution. Our expertise in hydrogen production, CapEx reduction, and dedicated infrastructure, is crucial for decarbonization. We are proud to be a technology provider for the entire hydrogen value chain, from production to end-use. My key take-aways from the interesting discussions with many colleagues: Green Hydrogen: Green hydrogen is an important solution provider for renewable power growth and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Infrastructure: The right infrastructure, including renewable energy production and a dedicated infrastructure, is crucial for decarbonization. We must stop discussing what is the right technology for the future – gaseous or liquid hydrogen, Ammonia or Methanol... To fight climate change we need them all and we need them now. An announcement was made by Synergia Energy recently, who stated that due to a large expression of interest, the company will be putting up to half of its 50% interest in the CS019 Camelot carbon storage license, up for offer. This has been made official through the use of a farm out arrangement. This arrangement is going very well so far, as Synergia Energy has been awarded carbon storage license for the Camelot reservoirs, under the NSTA 1st carbon storage licensing round. Making this change will evidently benefit the CCS industry and it will also increase the number of places that carbon can be stored.
