If I may I’d like to introduce you all to the newest member of our leadership team, James. He’ll be heading up the stores side of the business, opening new ones and running them (hopefully not into the ground xox). Currently he only has one store, which I think he’s a bit self conscious about, and who can blame him — I’d be a mess if I only had one store. Just a single-stored knob head with no hope nor clue. Poor bastard really — kinda feel sorry for him. What a bloody mess he’s got himself into. Left a fairly comfortable career for this shit too. Fucking nightmare. He’s a fruity bastard is James — a real character. He makes me laugh a lot, he’s like really funny without trying to be. He’s also really into Dungeons and Dragons which goes above my head in every way imaginable. James describes himself as a nerd, but a cool nerd, because as he puts it he “doesn’t have a B.O problem.” Welcome to GB James, I’m sure you’ll do just fine, maybe. GB

2 Parts of the Equation: Snoop recently posted “I want to give a shout out to NBC Universal because the first thing they did was tell me to be me.” Part 1: Authenticity: Snoop has it in spades. He became an Olympic media hit the world over by doing….Exactly what he’s always done. Being his authentic self. Surprising style, original commentary, unexpected appearances, genuine praise, and unforgettable friendships w none other than Martha Stewart. As the iconic meme master, he said: “I want to thank me for believing in me”. We are glad you did. Part 2: Courageous Company: This rarely makes the headline. Far too often we tamper and tone down outsized talent. When it fits inside a box it’s easier to control. The problem is, the brand misses out on all the magic. Customers miss out on the Wow experience. And eventually talent fills stifled which leads to turnover. I give Keynote speeches about fostering a Culture of Courage. I call this “Birds in a Cage” Without courage, your team's passions are like a bird in a cage, wings pressed tight against a cold door, straining to break free but unable to soar. Motivation withers, innovation dies, and the toxic cycle of turnover takes flight at the first sight of an open door, leaving behind only an empty cage echoing what could have been. Opportunity: have compassion for your team members passions. The world craves authenticity. Allow your team to bring their full talents to the table. Nothing is gained by not knowing what your team is dreaming about and the talents they have - personally and professionally. No one needs another copy of a key. Thank you Snoop for believing in you and showing us all what it looks like. Thank you NBC Universal for having the courage to set that strategy and embrace authenticity from the beginning. Snoop soared. The world watched. We were all amazed.

My last posts and comments were about Sumesh George Walmart and Walmart Global Tech. He was my boss once. I did not provide a lot of commentary. I gave hard evidential records in the form of voice recording. I do not have a habit of recording conversations with my colleagues. What he did was outrageous. No one would have believed me if I did not have the recordings. Those posts and comments were not about my leadership. There were about an "executive" abusive behavior. They were not about vengeance. The intent is to prevent the type of behaviors in the workplace and to stop people like him to cause injuries to others. Here are the key points of my last posts. Sumesh George proposed a new project. A third part estimated the new cost of $126 million compared to the existing cost of $71 million. I assume that the third party's estimate was based on the data. To put the numbers into some perspective, the estimated cost increase was about $45,000/"customer" who are small business owners. Compared to the current cost, it is an 72% increase. We were asked to bridge the gap. I simply commented that the gap maybe too big to bridge. It is true to anyone with some normal sense. I was told that I did not demonstrate any leadership. I was asked to keep my thought in my head. There were worse things said about me. After bashing me for my leadership, he said it maybe the cultural thing. It was clearly referring to my East Asian cultural heritage. He also said in one of the recordings that he wanted to win. He also told me I should only be loyal to myself instead of being loyal to the company. He wanted to win at any cost to others. In one of the recordings, he was explaining why he told me not to create a Chinese mafia because that companies like Target are super white. Is it conceivable he told he told me not to consider non-white unless there are no white candidates available? One may wonder. He hired you so he did not discriminate against Asians. I submitted my resume months before I received the first call. At that time, I forgot I ever applied for the position. I knew, for a fact, he considered a white person without any supply chain background. In one of my e-mails to Sumesh George. I hoped that he was a changed person. Unfortunately, he is not. Through his surrogate, he continued to belittle me. There is something left unsaid. It will be said when the time comes

What do Martin Luther King, Richard Branson, and Kermit the Frog have in common? Apple's 1997 "Crazy Ones" commercial. This is the commercial that almost single-handedly took Apple from the brink of bankruptcy to the world's Most Valued Company. How? Welcome to #teardownTuesday. **IT TELLS A STORY** It's a cliche but it's true so here goes: People buy with emotion. The logic comes later. And there's nothing like a story to inspire emotion. In the Crazy Ones, Apple's telling you a story about greatness, about people who loomed larger than life. It's a one-minute roller coaster ride through the hero's journey. When you come out on the other side, you feel exhilarated, like you could flip over a car if you had to. And that's exactly what Apple asks you to do. Just instead of a car, they have you flip over the status quo. They have you ready to Think Different. **TAKEAWAY** Tell your audience a story, and they'll listen. 📜 📜 📜 📜 📜 📜 **YOU BECOME THE HERO** The Crazy Ones commercial takes your hand and plunks you right down with the likes of Jim Henson, Frank Lloyd Wright, Martin Luther King, Tom Edison, and of course Kermit the Frog. It turns you into the hero because the unstated message is, "You have it within you to be like these people." It speaks to that place inside us that wants to be more, wants to make a difference, wants to stand out and be something special. It tells us we cannot be ignored. "Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." **TAKEAWAY** When you talk to people's highest sense of self, they respond on a totally different level. 💪 💪 💪 💪 💪 💪 **THEY DON'T FEATURE A PRODUCT — BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO** Look at the commercial. Do you notice what's missing? If you haven't gotten it yet, I'll tell you: There isn't a computer in sight. Not one. Apple takes the commercial and makes it about everyone...except themselves. **TAKEAWAY** When you take your product or service out of the picture, the audience puts you back in. 💻 💻 💻 💻 💻 💻 And one last takeaway: It's not enough to have a great product. You also have to know how to sell it. More teardowns to come. #marketingstrategy #copywriting #Apple

Let me tell you a story. I used to shoot a lot of pool (billiards). I love the game (8 Ball & 9 Ball), and I used to compete in leagues and tournaments frequently. One time, a teammate of mine shared an interesting observation about my style of play, and it rang true for many other players as well. He said, "Andrew, once you sink One shot, you kinda start to get on a roll, and you're twice as likely to make the Next one in succession. I can see the confidence grow in your face. Run that table!" Maybe you already see my point here. There's something very real, even in one's business career; an unseen force called Momentum. You see it in NFL football and other sports too. Once something works, you tend to use that to propel yourself onto the next success. This has become especially true in my own recruiting career over the last 4+ years. The other side of that (maybe you can call it Inertia) is the tendency for things that are slow or motionless to remain so. This can also be prevalent in one's career in business. Maybe you're thinking, "Yep. Been there, Done that." So, what's my point here? Maybe I've got a couple . . . I'll state them like the old adages have said so many times before. 1. "Make hay while the sun is shining." Use that Momentum, folks! 2. "If at first you don't succeed, Try and try again." When things aren't moving your way, Press In, folks! You know, "When the goin' gets tough, the Tough get goin'!" Please share your thoughts in the comments below about these topics of Momentum and/or Inertia, especially as they relate to the business world and in Your career. Thanks! Q Works Group Michael B. Clegg

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but… Building a successful company is not about the product or service. It's not about the big parties you throw for your people. It's not about the bonuses you share with your people. It's not about being mentioned on the biggest TV show. It's about building a team with the right people. I've said this once and will repeat myself. The biggest challenge every company has is with their people. If they don't know how to build a culture. How to attract and keep talent. This company won't make it even though the product is amazing. I can mention a few if you don't believe me. Blockbuster - Once a dominant player in the video rental industry failed to adapt to the digital transformation and the rise of streaming services like Netflix Nokia - Once the world's leading mobile phone manufacturer, failed to adapt to the smartphone revolution. The subsequent decision to adopt the Windows Phone platform instead of Android contributed to their downfall in the smartphone segment. Toys"R"Us - A leading toy retailer, Toys "R" Us failed to adapt to the changing retail landscape dominated by online shopping, particularly from competitors like Amazon. If all these businesses just realized fast enough that they didn't have the right people in place, they would still be leaders in their field. At TangoScale we have a core value. We want to be a part of the solution, not the challenge. Even though, the challenge is the first step of finding the solution. We work hard on ourselves before our jobs. We plant before we reap. That's what's required to achieve something meaningful in life. -------------------------------- My name is Cassin Mukire, I'm excited to share with you our journey towards building a billion-dollar company over the next two decades. Our focus isn't just on the financial goal; it's about the transformation and growth we'll experience as individuals along the way.

Want to learn a billion-dollar secret? 🚛💡 Most CEOs stay far from the ground level. Sam Walton (Founder of Walmart) wasn’t most CEOs. He hit the road with his drivers, and built an empire. As he grew Walmart (to the Current $665B behemoth it is today & largest company by turnover in the world), he did something unusual: ➡️ He regularly rode along with truck drivers, joining them on distribution runs. ➡️ He’d chat with store associates, drivers, and even warehouse staff; every person he could learn from. While others focused on strategy from high up, Sam learned the real needs and behaviours of his customers and team from those who knew them best. 💡 And that was his secret sauce. Through countless conversations and insights from those on the ground, Sam identified gaps, needs, and simple ideas that made Walmart a powerhouse. 🚛 He discovered which products needed restocking faster, which areas faced shortages, and how to streamline store layouts; all from the people who saw it every day. The result? 🔹 He was able to innovate directly from insights on the ground, continually evolving Walmart to meet real customer needs. 🔹 And with every bit of intel, Walmart moved ahead of competitors who never left the boardroom. Small moves. Big results. Listening to those closest to the action can reveal your next breakthrough. It’s not always in the data; sometimes it’s in the small conversations. How can you try this in your own business? 👇

I know exactly how it feels when you have NO support. Most people won't give a damn about your goals. Family might doubt you. Friends might think you're crazy. Colleagues might be waiting for you to fail. So what? You've got two choices: 1. Whine about it 2. Get to work Choose option 2. Because, Every excuse is just that - an excuse. Your success doesn't depend on others' approval Remember: Bezos started Amazon in a garage Oprah overcame poverty and abuse Jobs was kicked out of his own company They didn't wait for support. They created their own path. So quit looking for cheerleaders. Be your own biggest fan. Your own harshest critic. Your own relentless force. The only thing that matters is how bad you want it? #choice #execution #action
