Actually, General Washington did outfight the British. He combined conventional and unconventional tactics with effective strategy and logistics, and outfought British and Hessian forces at places like Dorchester Heights, Trenton, Princeton, Saratoga, Monmouth, Stony Point, Paulus Hook, Cowpens, Guilford Court House, Yorktown, and others. And yes, effective intelligence and counterintelligence activities often enabled the American victories. Appreciate the National Counterintelligence and Security Center for highlighting this topic!
