Last week, for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, #bpAzerbaijan invited us to conduct an awareness session recognizing the contributions of persons with disabilities. We showcased our journey since 2017, promoting #inclusion and #accessibility. We reflected on our achievements, shared our vision for a more accessible world, and discussed the steps ahead. bp’s leadership in fostering an accessible workplace was evident through Gunay Hajiyeva presentation, highlighting their efforts and reaffirming their role as a pioneer in #inclusivity. We presented our new production, #HowMuchIsEnough, addressing fast fashion's impact on global warming and emphasizing inclusive action and shared responsibility. A panel discussion followed, where we stressed the link between #inclusion and the #environment and shared our belief that #diversity strengthens society when #accessibility allows every individual’s potential to flourish. Our Director Nigar Sultanova shared her first introduction to #neurodiversity, which she learned about five years ago from #bp employee Elnara Sadikhova (Assoc. CIPD). This sparked her passion for inclusivity and deepened her admiration for bp’s #values. Since 2022, bp’s support has enabled us to train 50 rehabilitation workers and over 170 ASPU students, empowering them to foster inclusion and create equitable environments. It was great to have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Gary Jones, bp's Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, and Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp’s Vice President for the Caspian region, Communication & External Affairs. We shared stories about the local and global #impact of our work and its role in driving #sustainable change. We are excited to continue collaborating with #bp to amplify the impact of #inclusion and #accessibility in our country, creating a more equitable and inclusive society. Special thanks to the #bpWIN team and Jamila Islamova for organizing this memorable event. 🌊🚢 Celebrating 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 by spotlighting Joanne Ang, Managing Director, Asia Pacific of Tidewater Offshore Operations Pte Ltd (Tidewater), part of Tidewater Inc., the world’s largest owner and operator of Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) fleet which comprises more than 200 vessels. In line with this year's theme 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲, we are honoured to speak with Joanne, a beacon of leadership and safety and a phenomenal woman making waves in the maritime industry. She fosters a strong safety culture by ensuring every team member, both at shore and at sea, looks out for one another. "We’re all in this together," she says, emphasising that consistent messages are needed to ensure that everyone “internalises” the importance of workplace safety as well as understand that they are empowered to exercise Stop Work Obligation so that every employee can get home safe. In promoting a collaborative safety culture, Joanne believes in fostering open dialogue that embraces diverse viewpoints and providing a cohesive environment that promotes mutual respect, ensuring that every personnel, regardless of rank, is valued and heard. She highlights the challenges women face in promoting safety in a male-dominated industry and calls for greater diversity and inclusivity, saying: "Women are traditionally perceived as the weaker sex, females leading the change in a male-dominated industry is quirky at best, anachronistic at worse. Let’s keep bearing in mind that everyone has a part to play to uphold safety, irrespective of gender. Sharing best practices of inclusive and equitable policies will help strengthen diversity and inclusivity in this industry.” Her vision for the future? A world where gender doesn’t determine responsibility for safety, but where women are empowered to drive excellence in maritime safety and valued for their perspectives and expertise to forge a safer workplace for all. Lastly Joanne ends off with a quote on safety. She says: "Safety at sea starts with a safety-centric mindset, anchored in the heart, mind, and actions." Continue to keep a lookout for our next posts, where we continue to celebrate amazing women making a difference at sea! #WomenInMaritimeDay #MaritimeSafety #DiversityAndInclusion #InternationalDayforWomeninMaritime #Leadership #SafetyCulture #Empowerment #SingaporeShippingAssociation

Traditionally a male-dominated field, the industry was often viewed as a man’s sector due to the involvement of heavy machinery, rugged landscapes, and demanding work environments. Today, our women are rewriting this narrative! They are exploring India’s hydrocarbon reserves, drilling wells, supervising and leading projects, and paving the way towards #EnergyAatmanirbharta. Their strong presence across all our operations serves as an inspiration to the young girls who can #ExploreIndiaWithCairn. With a goal of achieving 30% gender diversity in our workforce by 2030, Cairn is actively taking initiatives to nurture diverse talent to help people explore their true potential. To create a safe and thriving workplace for our women engineers, Cairn has progressive health and safety measures, work-life balance programmes, flexible work policies for returning mothers, daycare allowances and other industry first benefits. The recent awards won by Cairn are a testimony to our efforts of building a holistic and inclusive workplace for our diverse and empowered workforce! #FueledByCairn #30YearsOfEnergisingIndia #TransformingTheWorkplace #GenderInclusivity #WomenEmpowerment

🎉 Embracing the True Essence of Holi: Inclusivity in Our Corporate Journey 🌈 As we revel in the festivities of Holi, I'm reminded of a pivotal moment from the inaugural year of Amplus Solar, a time when our aspirations were just taking flight. In our endeavor to foster a nurturing environment, we faced a crucial decision regarding medical insurance coverage for our team. The traditional approach suggested by HR and Admin was to allocate benefits based on seniority—a common practice that seemingly favored those at the top. However, this notion sparked a question in me: "Do senior people fall ill more or face more expensive ailments?" 😁 Despite the conventional wisdom and advice from insurance advisors to maintain status quo for the satisfaction of senior employees, we chose a different path. We decided to democratize our medical coverage, basing it on age rather than position, ensuring that every individual, from the ground-level engineer to the executives, received equitable support. This decision, though unconventional, reflected our commitment to inclusivity and care for every member of our Amplus family. Holi, with its vibrant hues and joyful spirit, symbolizes the breaking down of social barriers and the celebration of unity. Yet, a visit to numerous corporate offices reveals a stark contrast: segregated spaces for different management levels, from cafeterias to cabins, all delineating invisible yet palpable divides. While recognizing that certain roles require specific facilities, the essence of Holi teaches us a broader lesson—human needs transcend hierarchical distinctions. Let's embody the spirit of Holi in our daily corporate lives, striving for a culture where inclusivity and joy are not just seasonal themes but foundational values. Happy Holi to all—may we carry these colors of change throughout our lives and workplaces. #Holi2024 #Inclusivity #CorporateCulture #Leadership #Equality Hexa Climate Anil Bhat
