Andy has agreed to cycle 140 miles to deliver McFlurry Ice Creams to James and I, When we hit a back-to-back month of paying subscribers on Giig. For the last 4 months, we've been hitting over 30 subs a month but we're yet to land a month where we hit back-to-back months where we don't miss a day. We always seem to miss at least 1. In our attempt to celebrate the small wins we always get over-excited when we're on a run or a 'Flurry' as we call it and in Andy's excitement he agreed that if we hit a month of back-to-back subscribers he will cycle McFlurry Ice Creams to the rest of the team. So naturally I thought the responsible thing to do would be to get him to confirm this on the podcast so that we can hold him to it and track his journey the day that does come in. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 #GiigItARest #Giig #Podcast #TheMcRunny

Moving out of comfort zone can be one of the hardest decisions, but can also be the best decision you have ever made once you have managed to pull through the hard beginnings. I believe facing challenges means you are learning something and you are achieving something. Once the process starts to become another comfort zone, make another hard decision and repeat the cycle. That's how we can achieve growth and reach further.
Sometimes, making tough decisions and stepping out of our comfort zones are necessary steps to take our careers to the next level. Things that aren't normal as a podcaster: - Going from 0 to 10k subscribers overnight - Getting sponsorships in the first 2 weeks of podcasting - Having the best guests reach out to you to come on the pod - Making six figures at 25th episode These are 1% events. If you've managed to get there, I'm really happy for you! But this post is for the 99% of people. Understand that it will take you years to build what you want. And that's okay! Seeing all the overnight successes can make you feel down and hard on yourself. Remember that you're seeing only 1%. Keep doing what you're doing, and stop beating yourself up. P.S. Been there, done that. It's not nice to punish yourself for other people's successes. Be happy for them, put your head down, and keep going. #podcast #triangletheory #consistency #grind

As a podcaster, it’s really easy to fall into the trap of only thinking about what could be improved, or to focus on numbers that don’t necessarily make the biggest difference for your show But what are you doing right? Recently I’ve been feeling like we’re not doing enough with our #podcast. Then a couple people reminded me that there is a lot that’s working, which was the motivation I didn’t realize I needed Some questions to get you started: - Do you have a community around your show? - Do people listen to most, or all, of each episode? - Do your listeners give you feedback, and do you incorporate that into your podcast? You probably have a lot of small wins, and those small wins add up!

It's easy to start a podcast. Anyone can hit record once. The difficult part is sticking with it week after week, year after year. Being consistent. That's where the real growth happens - for you and your audience. Each episode is another seed you're planting. Another opportunity to develop your voice and perspectives. The die-hard fans, the ones who will embrace your message most fully, are created through your consistency. It's the drip, drip, drip of your podcast channeling into their lives that allows you to build a committed following. Sporadic podcasters get sporadic results. But those who remain consistent, obsessively so, cultivate something more powerful.
