"What if we could build your brand in 48 hours or less?" That's what we set out to do, when we introduced our hands-on PRODUCTION DAY program for our busiest clients. We kept hearing pushback like, "I just don't have time," "I don't know what to say," "I don't know who to hire," "There's just too much to plan," "Can't you just do it for me?" And that's when it hit me. Give us 48 hours of your time, physical presence and undivided attention, and we'll do the rest for you. All you have to do is book a flight, and we'll take care of absolutely everything else, including car service, hotel, meals, and clothes. (Seriously, every single time, without fail, and even with the warning that this will happen, we get a call from the client, having a minor freak out, "Wait, I feel totally unprepared. What do I need to do?" To which we say, "Nothing," You're given a packing list of specifics and staples, after your Zoom session with our personal stylist, but otherwise, "You're used to taking care of everyone else, so this calm feels like chaos, at first. Trust the process, we've got you." Releasing control is also part of the coaching and the process.) We'll have one to three virtual strategy sessions, which are equally getting to know you (for ideas) and also preparing you, before you take flight, and then upon arrival, and then once you arrive... - Personal Styling and Try-on Session (Looks for the shoot and also for the upcoming season, if you need, saving you HOURS and money. We've considered making this an optional add-on, but have made it mandatory because of the transformation and bursting confidence we always see.) - Dinner with the Team (Total access to me for questions, last-minute coaching and tips, and an overview of what's to come the following day.) - On-Site Hair, Makeup and Glam - Half-Day Video Session (Fully guided by me to bring out the most authentic you, with no scripts and no prompter, to pull out an average of 12-15 videos in multiple looks to get you going.) - Branding Photography Session (3-5 looks, ranging from casual and fun to elevated and ultra professional, in personality-driven poses and a variety of expressions to extend use and optimization. And you get to keep ALL of the finished photos; not just two or three.) - Editing, caption-writing, and profile optimization. (YOU have to be the one to manage and execute.) - Followup coaching for additional support, confidence building and advanced strategy. We've been offering and refining this service to our private clients for the last two years, and we just wrapped up an AWESOME round of capture with our incredible client Megan Farrell-Nelson. It just keeps getting better and better; it's my favorite experience we offer, and I'm so grateful for every client who trusts me with this accelerated transformation. We only have two spots left this year, if this sounds like something you need. Shoot me a message!

Why I Transitioned from Fashion Styling to Image Branding: I always knew there was more to me than just fashion styling—it couldn’t be my final destination, since I was a creative Head. While I loved seeing the transformation in my clients, family, and friends when I helped them elevate their style, I realized something deeper was happening. For the longest time, people who sought my advice on fashion would start to develop an impeccable eye for detail, mixing and matching colors, and refining their personal taste. It was fulfilling to know I had empowered them in that way, even if it meant they would eventually outgrow needing my help. Yet, the satisfaction of helping someone reach a new level of confidence in their style kept me going. But then something shifted. I began to notice that while people were looking more powerful and polished on the outside, it didn’t necessarily reflect who they were deep inside. I started questioning the true alignment between outward appearances and inner authenticity. Here's what I discovered: 1.Just because someone looked and sounded amazing didn’t mean they were great partners, siblings, or friends. 2.Popular leaders weren't always servant-leaders, despite their public personas. 3.Musicians and celebrities often invested heavily in branding, but that didn’t mean they embodied the image they portrayed. 4.A person could fit your ideal partner profile in appearance, but that didn’t guarantee they had the qualities to sustain a healthy relationship. 5.A popular pastor or church didn’t always equate to genuine care for their community or God’s people. 6.A business with stellar branding might still lack the structures and customer-centric focus to truly serve their clients. 7.Schools and educational institutions may have a reputation but could still fall short in creating a conducive learning environment. 8.Fashion brands often focused more on themselves than the customers they claimed to serve. On the flip side, I saw so many individuals, and businesses with immense value who lacked visibility and alignment in how they presented themselves to the world. So when I started to ask myself critical questions like: “Out of all the fashion stylists in the world, why should anyone choose me? What sets me apart? How do I consistently stand out?" That self-reflection led me to a pivotal realization—I wanted to be an image consultant, not just a stylist. My passion became helping individuals and businesses discover and showcase their true, authentic, powerful selves, by aligning that inner truth with their outward image. I realized that when your image is aligned with your mission, you build trust, generate consistent revenue, and most importantly, you take your rightful place in your generation. For me, it’s no longer about the clothes alone—it’s about transformation from the inside out. Continued in the comments!

Have you ever dug deep into your closet and found an old favorite outfit that holds significant memories? Recently, I had a photoshoot and experienced just that. I stumbled upon a suit I wore exactly 20 years ago when I won a prestigious award. A magazine featured me because no one from Minnesota had won the award before. It was a big deal, and as part of the article, I had to sit for a professional photoshoot—my very first. I wanted to pick just the right outfit to convey my personal brand at the time, hence a beautiful Garfield & Marks suit from Nordstrom. Fast forward 20 years, and I pulled that same suit off the hanger, holding my breath that it would fit. Imagine my surprise when it did! This moment got me thinking about the concept of relevance—not just in fashion, but in our professional lives. We often hear about the need to innovate and adapt, but staying relevant goes beyond just keeping up with the latest trends. It’s about continuous growth, refining our personal brand, and embracing new challenges with the same passion we had when we first started. Here are some key takeaways on staying relevant: 1. Continuous Learning: Keep expanding your knowledge and skills. Whether it’s taking new courses, attending workshops, or reading industry publications, staying informed and skilled is crucial. 2. Networking: Engage with industry peers and expand your professional network. Building strong connections can lead to new opportunities and valuable collaborations. 3. Embrace Technology: Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies. Adopting new tech can enhance your efficiency and keep you ahead of the curve. 4. Seek Feedback: Regularly seek constructive feedback to improve. Honest feedback helps you identify areas for growth and maintain high performance. 5. Adaptability: Be open to change and willing to adapt your strategies. Flexibility in the face of change ensures you stay relevant and resilient. 6. Personal Branding: Maintain a consistent, visible, and authentic personal brand. Your brand should reflect your values, skills, and unique qualities, making you stand out in your field. In my latest blog post, I delve deeper into why staying relevant is crucial for career growth, job security, and personal development. Five Signs That It Might Be Time To Update Your Headshot 1. Your Appearance Has Changed: If you’ve undergone significant changes in your appearance, such as a new hairstyle, weight loss or gain, or changes in your fashion style, your headshot might no longer reflect how you look today. An updated photo ensures that people recognize you accurately in professional settings. 2. Your Headshot Looks Outdated: If your headshot looks like it’s from several years ago and doesn’t align with current trends or standards, it might be time for an update. An outdated headshot can give the impression that you’re not keeping up with industry standards or less engaged with your professional image. 3. You’ve Changed Careers or Roles: If you’ve transitioned to a new role or industry, your previous headshot might not effectively convey your new professional identity. An updated headshot that reflects your current role and industry can help make a positive impression and align with your new career goals. 4. Your Branding Has Evolved: If your personal or company branding has evolved, your headshot should reflect these changes. For example, if your brand has shifted to a more casual or formal tone, your headshot should align with this new direction to maintain consistency and professionalism. 5. Your Headshot is No Longer High Quality: If your current headshot appears blurry, poorly lit, or has outdated editing, it’s a sign that it’s time for a new photo. High-quality, professional headshots are crucial for making a strong impression, whether on LinkedIn, company websites, or professional networks.

The world of hair colouring can surprisingly, be a pretty drab space. For years many of the leading brands have taken the same formulaic approach of a large headshot, layered with multiple claims and a tiny brand logo. The ensuing experience is incredibly difficult for the shopper to differentiate one brand to the next. Therefore, it’s really interesting to see this brand from Bleach London taking its inspiration from style magazines such as Wallpaper or Dansk, in order to create a more of an editorial feel to the packs. It certainly makes them stand out! The monolithic shots as you’d expect in hairdressers window have been replaced by more fashion orientated art direction. Taking inspiration from different touchpoints in the same category, as in this instance, can help create differentiation from the competition. Focusing more on how it will make you feel, rather than how it will make you look can create more of an emotional connection with the consumer. It’s something many categories could learn from.#BrandDesign, #PackagingDesign, #Packaging, #Marketing —————————————— If you like this post then subscribe to my monthly newsletter. 💫 Sharing a project I’ve been passionately working on: introducing "Hajra", a conceptual high-end makeup brand designed to celebrate elegance, individuality, and empowerment. This project has given me the opportunity to immerse myself fully in the creative process of brand development from defining the visual identity to curating an exclusive and luxurious product range. 💄✨ It isn’t just a brand, it’s an embodiment of luxury and self-expression. With a carefully chosen palette of rich maroon, black, white, and nude, each tone has been thoughtfully selected to symbolize boldness, confidence, and grace. 🎨 Every aspect, from the sleek, sophisticated packaging to the finely crafted product formulations, was designed to reflect the essence of refined beauty and the power of personal expression. 🌟💎 Through this journey, I’ve learned so much about the intricate balance of creating a brand that not only appeals to aesthetics but also speaks to the emotions and individuality of its audience. 💡 I’m excited to continue evolving this concept and would love to hear any feedback, ideas, or collaborations from those who share my passion for innovation in the beauty industry. #LuxuryBeauty #BrandDevelopment #BrandProject #EleganceAndEmpowerment #MakeupInnovation #CreativeProcess #BeautyDesign #HighEndMakeup

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN IMAGE CONSULTANT AND A STYLIST, AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? People often confuse image consultants with stylists as they can do similar work, but it’s important to know the difference because how you come across to others for your career success, social influence and personal branding Let’s start with the definition of a stylist: This is a person whose job is to arrange and coordinate clothes in a stylish and attractive way. Pretty much every celebrity you see on TV or in the movies has a personal stylist who works behind the scenes to make sure they dress properly for all their public appearances and Red-Carpet events. They also may suggest tips on a person’s hairstyle, makeup and any other areas that need to be addressed for them to look their best. Now, let’s move on to the definition of a Professional Image Consultant, which describes the work I do with business professionals. My role is to create and elevate their personal brand, which includes how they come across, not only in person, but also on stage, on camera in videos and on Zoom. My focus is on personal branding so that they attract their ideal audience or clientele to their business and into their lives. Let’s face it, first impressions still matter! For example, picture a woman who has just been promoted to a C-suite position with a more public-facing position. She needs to make a greater impression as a leader, influencer and role-model for her organization and is not sure how to go about this and all the subtle details that are involved. Then, there’s the professional who does public speaking or gives a TEDx talk and wants to resonate with her audience to attract a specific demographic. These are just two examples of when a person needs a personal image consultant to ensure they step into the spotlight with the right appeal from head to toe! Essentially, your personal brand should create an aura around you that people notice! It’s about understanding and working with your body type, choosing clothes that accentuate or balance your shape, wearing colors that look fabulous on you, and even making sure your hair color(s) work with your skin and overall image so that you look fabulous and feel confident. Branding tip of the day from a branding photographer: Be Authentic. Don’t overdo it. What’s “it”? Glad you asked. 😁 Because I am a big fan of being too much. Too bold. Too loud. Too kind. Too joyful. The “it” that you shouldn’t be too much of, is inauthentic. In other words: stay true to who you are Here’s what I mean… You see a picture of someone online and they look gorgeously perfect in every way from their glam makeup to their styled clothes. You set up a time to meet with them for their services. Then you get to the meeting, and the person you’re seeing looks nothing like the pictures on their website and socials… instant distrust. So don’t get branding pictures in makeup, hair, and clothes that you normally wouldn't wear. Show up to your session looking like you, in all your perfect imperfections. Of course, get professional hair and makeup if you want to, but make sure your stylists know what your real vibe is. Afterward, don't over-edit your pictures and videos beyond the point of recognition. You want your clients to trust you, and that starts with your image.

Absolutely love this reminder! A headshot is the heart of your personal brand. Show up, be seen, and let your true self shine. Don’t settle for the ordinary; stand out by being authentically you. #authenticity #personalbranding #headshots
Corporate Content Creator and Headshot Photographer - Featuring your brands most valuable asset - you're people.
I’m over it. I’m over the idea that headshots are just another box to check—that if we keep checking boxes, growth and freedom will magically follow. "Just do this, then you’ll be there." More noise. More of the same. In the world of professional branding, there’s too much focus on accomplishments, what you’re selling, and who you’re targeting. It’s become a checklist of faceless, templated strategies, leaving behind the most important part: you. A headshot is a core element of your personal brand, meant to be customized and evocative. It’s a reflection of who you are, not just what you do. Your headshot should convey confidence, personality, and values. Forget cookie-cutter, overly retouched photos or AI-generated “perfection.” Show up authentically as you. Lean into your uniqueness. Celebrate it. That’s what sets you apart. Your personal brand is about who you are—and your headshot should capture exactly that. Okay, okay. That was a nice mantra, but what's a Linkedin mantra without direction? How to Show Up Authentically in Your Headshot 1️⃣ Choose Authentic Attire When selecting what to wear, go for that favorite piece from your closet—the one that feels like you. Imagine meeting someone new in your network. What would you naturally wear? Go with that. 2️⃣ Balance Authenticity with Context Show up as yourself, but remember the context. I spend 80% of my week in comfortable pants and a t-shirt, but that’s not my look for a business meeting. Find the professional version of you that still feels real. A "business suit" version of Jackie does not exist—but I’ll go for a polished top and light makeup and that feels great to me in the right context. 3️⃣ Find the Right Photographer Seek a photographer with a portfolio that highlights personality. If every photo on their site has the same look and background, they may not dive into who you are. A good photographer’s portfolio should give you a sense of each subject’s character and profession. If you can picture what someone does just from their headshot, you’ve found the right photographer. 4️⃣ Update More Often We used to recommend updating every 2-3 years; now, it’s every 1-2. You’re constantly evolving, and your headshot should reflect that growth. Keep it current, fresh, and in line with your brand—your audience will feel the difference. To stand out, don’t follow the crowd. Be you. #personalbranding #headshots #authenticity
