‘Tis the season for holiday gatherings, and if you are hosting one, it can be quite the production. Here are some tips to make your gathering go smoothly: • Make a list, check it twice – A few weeks prior to your event, make notes of all the tasks you need to accomplish, so that you can create a schedule. • Have a timeline – The time to put your roast in the oven, the time you will serve your meal, etc., so nothing is forgotten. • Cook ahead – Think freezable soups or stews, quiches, tarts, and ready-to-bake cookies to minimize work on the day of your event. • Accept help and delegate – If anyone offers to help, take them up on it. Also, delegate tasks, such as serving appetizers or offering guests something to drink, so that you can focus on getting the meal on the table. • Stock up – Overestimate how much food and drink you need to ensure you have enough. You can send leftovers home with your guests. • Decide how you will serve the food – For a lot of guests, a buffet style works best, but make sure the table is away from a wall so guests can line up on both sides. • Put on some jolly tunes – Just keep the volume low enough so your guests can hear each other’s conversations. With some thoughtful preparation, you can host a memorable holiday get-together – like a pro! 🎄 Attention Hospitality Pros! 🎄 The elves are back, and they’ve been busy causing syrup-drenched mayhem in hotel breakfast areas everywhere. Why? Because they’re on a mission to make waffles the star of the season! Picture this: guests waking up to warm, crispy waffles, topped with their favorite festive delights—maple syrup, whipped cream, or maybe a sprinkle of holiday cheer (candy canes, anyone?). It’s a breakfast upgrade that makes the morning magical and keeps guests talking long after their stay. Just ask the Elf on the Shelf! Sure, they’re known for a little chaos, but when it comes to waffles, they have one thing right—waffles make memories. 🎅🏨 Give your guests something to waffle about this Christmas season. It’s the easiest way to spread holiday joy and keep them coming back for more! #HospitalityIndustry #WaffleMagic #ElfApproved #ChristmasBreakfastFun #HospitalityMarketing #AddWaffles

"We need to be like ducks in water. On the top we are smooth and elegant but underneath the water where people can't see, we're paddling as fast as we can." This quote from Alex Brennan-Martin perfectly captures the essence of the hospitality industry. Especially during the holidays. What you see: • A beautifully set table • Perfectly timed courses • Attentive service • A festive atmosphere What you don't see: • Months of planning • Countless prep hours • High-stress kitchen dynamics • Last-minute adjustments The holiday season is a high-wire act for restaurants. Imagine cooking for 400-1000 people without knowing what they'll order. That's the reality for many establishments. This year, let's practice a little more empathy: 1. Arrive on time for reservations 2. Be patient with staff 3. Understand if things aren't perfect 4. Show gratitude for their hard work Remember: A 15-minute delay can throw off an entire day's reservations. The hospitality industry has faced unprecedented challenges this year: • Natural disasters • Power outages • Declining revenues Yet they continue to serve, to create joy, to be there for us. This holiday season, let's be there for them too. How will you show your appreciation for hospitality workers this year? #HospitalityHeroes #HolidayKindness #RestaurantLife

The festive season will soon be in full swing, meaning hospitality businesses will have the chance to elevate every celebration by offering premium spring water to party guests. 🎉 By offering still and sparkling over tap water, businesses can enhance customer satisfaction and elevate their brand image - all while adding value for both guests and the business. Here’s why we think it’s the perfect addition to the Christmas party menu and why “Still or Sparkling?” should be the first question on every server’s lips when a customer places their drinks order: 💧Enhanced Guest Experience: Still and sparkling spring water add a sense of quality and luxury to a meal or stay, enhancing the guest experience. 💧Superior Taste: Nothing added, nothing taken away, just as nature intended. Many guests prefer the fresh, clean taste of still or sparkling water, which is naturally filtered and mineral-rich, providing a consistent taste. 💧Boosts Brand Image: Offering high-quality water shows a commitment to detail and quality that reflects positively on a hospitality business's brand, making guests feel more valued and catered to. 💧Revenue Generation: Premium spring water provides an easy upsell, turning hydration into an additional revenue stream, while also offering guests the choice of a more refined option. This season, help every guest toast with taste and stay merry and hydrated! 🎅 #christmasparty #hospitalitytips #springwater

As we approach this festive season, I want to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a joyous Coptic Christmas! 🎄🎉 May this time bring warmth, happiness, and togetherness to you and your loved ones. To my fellow chefs and hospitality professionals, I have a special message: While many people gather with their families to celebrate, we often find ourselves in the kitchen, crafting delicious meals and creating memorable moments for others. This work, especially during the holidays, is a profound kind of sacrifice. On the one hand, it’s deeply fulfilling to be part of the joy, to know that our skills bring people together and make their celebrations extra special. On the other hand, it can also mean being away from our own families during these meaningful times. This bittersweet reality of our profession teaches us resilience, empathy, and the true spirit of giving. It’s a reminder of how powerful our role is in shaping human connections. So, here’s to all the chefs, servers, and hospitality workers working through the holidays—your dedication is truly inspiring. You remind us that this profession is not just about food but about making people feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated. Wishing you all a season filled with gratitude and moments of joy, no matter where you’re spending it! Here are a couple tips to give your guest room that home-away-from-home feeling! Provide closet and drawer space - Even if your guests are only staying for one night, it’s nice to give them a place to unpack. Clear out a couple of drawers and leave some hangers in the closet. As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, there's a palpable sense of renewal and rejuvenation all around. For those of us in the hospitality and catering sectors, the arrival of spring brings with it a host of opportunities and benefits. After the chilly winter months, people are eager to shed their layers and step out into the sunshine, craving the warmth of social interaction and the pleasure of dining al fresco. One of the most delightful aspects of spring is undoubtedly the resurgence of outdoor events, from weddings and garden parties to festivals and corporate gatherings. With the milder weather and longer daylight hours, venues have the chance to showcase their outdoor spaces, creating memorable experiences for guests against a backdrop of blooming flowers and lush greenery. Moreover, spring heralds the return of fresh, seasonal produce, inspiring chefs to craft menus bursting with flavour and creativity. From tender asparagus and succulent strawberries to fragrant herbs and delicate greens, the bounty of the spring harvest offers endless possibilities for culinary innovation. As we approach the holiday season/s, it's essential to remember the hard work put in by hospitality workers. Long hours, missed celebrations, and constant hustle are part of their routine. If there's a mistake in your order, like the wrong syrup or a mix-up with your meal, please remember the effort they're making to create a memorable experience for you.
