‘Tis the season for holiday gatherings, and if you are hosting one, it can be quite the production. Here are some tips to make your gathering go smoothly: • Make a list, check it twice – A few weeks prior to your event, make notes of all the tasks you need to accomplish, so that you can create a schedule. • Have a timeline – The time to put your roast in the oven, the time you will serve your meal, etc., so nothing is forgotten. • Cook ahead – Think freezable soups or stews, quiches, tarts, and ready-to-bake cookies to minimize work on the day of your event. • Accept help and delegate – If anyone offers to help, take them up on it. Also, delegate tasks, such as serving appetizers or offering guests something to drink, so that you can focus on getting the meal on the table. • Stock up – Overestimate how much food and drink you need to ensure you have enough. You can send leftovers home with your guests. • Decide how you will serve the food – For a lot of guests, a buffet style works best, but make sure the table is away from a wall so guests can line up on both sides. • Put on some jolly tunes – Just keep the volume low enough so your guests can hear each other’s conversations. With some thoughtful preparation, you can host a memorable holiday get-together – like a pro! "Life is uncertain; eat dessert first." This quote beautifully captures the essence of savoring life's pleasures and recognizing a truly exceptional hospitality experience. In the world of hospitality, where every moment counts, indulging in dessert first symbolizes the importance of seizing joy and delight whenever possible. A great hospitality experience is much like a delectable dessert – it leaves a lasting impression, satisfies your senses, and makes you feel valued. Just as a well-crafted dessert can elevate a meal, outstanding hospitality can transform an ordinary visit into an unforgettable memory. So, why wait? Embrace the sweetness of life and the warmth of genuine hospitality whenever you can. 🍨✨ How do you like to incorporate this philosophy into your own hospitality practices? #hospitality #sweetlife #2vs1scoops #addtoppings #dessertfirst #experience

🍴✨ Let's be honest, one of the true delights of traveling is the chance to try and dive into local cuisine. Why Choose Local? Sustainability: Opting for locally sourced ingredients helps reduce the carbon footprint that is associated with transporting food. Authentic Experiences: Local dishes crafted with traditional techniques offer a genuine taste of the area's history and lifestyle. I often hear of how amazing Devon scones are, so when I was there, I asked locals for recommendations and ended up at Tea on the Green. The scones were not only delicious but impressively large. Highly recommend if anyone finds themself in Devon! Engaging with Local Cuisine: Visit Local Markets: These are great places to find fresh ingredients and unique dishes while interacting with locals.
