Trying to distinguish a flavour with a mismatched colour proves to be incredibly difficult, showcasing how important colour is in food and beverage consumption. Yes it really create conflict in our mind. We also tried this experiment for Fruit syrups. We did random testing and the results make us realize how we associate food with colour and appearance.

Sensory is an important tool for both quality control & innovation. It is a very tough skill to horn yet an important & critical skill. Partaking in sensory is a privilege task because not many can describe & identify different flavour notes. Enjoy.

We have done this exercise in Erstwhile Dansico 20 years back and we were amazed with Mixed up responses...there is indeed a strong relationship between flavour perception and colour.
