🏘 Cuts to early intervention services have doubled the number of children in residential care from 2011 to 2023. 🚧 💸 "The report [created by 5 children's charities] found that since 2010/11 the amount councils in England spent on early intervention services almost halved – from £4bn to £2.2bn in 2022/23." ⚠️ "But the report says this increase in expenditure “is not leading to improved outcomes for the children and families the system support”. #EarlyIntervention #ChildrensServices #ChildrensCharity #YouthJustice #ResidentialCare #ChildProtection

✅ "Systemize the predictable so you can humanize the exceptional" from the founder Isadore Sharp of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is one of my newer favorite sayings. ✅ Creating systems and processes to some... → is a drag. → is boring. → is too detailed. → it doesn't allow for creativity. → it takes too much time. I'm thankful that Ray Strickland, III and Melissa Strickland value identifying and documenting their processes so that they can stop being the walking SOPs for CoPassion so that the most important things are getting done the right and best way every time. If you haven't read/listened to the book Process by Mike Paton and Lisa González, check it out! Once you identify, document and start implementing processes done the right way and best way every time, results and profit will come...and you'll be delighting your clients all the meanwhile because your team is no longer using their precious brain power to think through each step of the process, instead, they will be following the process and using their brain power to think of how to make this a WOW experience for their clients.
The CoPassion staff team had a fun discovery meeting with Charity Medina last week. We are excited to be developing and documenting our Core Processes with Charity to grow and scale the CoPassion Journey to young adults nationwide. Not only did we accomplish the goals for this one-day meeting, we had fun doing it! Ray Strickland, III Zachary Melton Josiah Swenson
