Next week is NAB New York AND IMEX. And I'm booked for shows at the same time as both of them. The lines between live events, corporate meetings, and broadcast are blurring. If you look at the tech desk for any hybrid or virtual live stream, you'll see just how much equipment is needed to produce a modern event. The tools we have to produce corporate meetings are incredible now. No longer do your staff and stakeholders have to settle for listening to a quarterly update from a conference phone stationed in a different room from the CEO. Now, we can make those broadcasts look like a bona fide television newscast. Same with live events. Gone are the days of wheeling out a microphone, overhead projector, and calling it a day. Now even the smallest of live events can have a multi-camera setup, titles, and a live stream, reaching people around the world. We're entering a new world of events. AV, broadcast, and event pros all need each other, since we live in a gigantic ecosystem that serves our clients and their attendees. Venues in Austin's downtown "Convention District" are preparing for decentralized city-wide events while our Convention Center undergoes construction for the next 4 years. We're helping make this easy by installing integrated AV production systems to allow streaming connectivity and technical consistency between the venues, reducing set up/strike time and expense.
