Tomorrow, Ayantola Alayande, Researcher at the Global Center on AI Governance will be speaking at the Media and Development Conference 2024 hosted by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development in Abuja, Nigeria (November 25–27). Ayantola will join a panel discussion on “AI in Industry and Society: Exploring Opportunities, Ethics, and Safety for Africa’s Future.” Drawing from his work at with the African Observatory on Responsible AI, he will share insights on key governance and ethical challenges in AI deployment across Africa. This conference explores critical themes like media sustainability, the impact of AI on journalism, digital disruption, gender equality, and inclusive development.
