This marks the team’s second week on the ground with the Yazidi community, and while the resilience of the people remains inspiring, the ongoing challenges are immense. Thousands of Yazidis are still displaced, and many continue to suffer the trauma of captivity. For those who have returned, rebuilding their homes and lives remains a daunting task, hindered by limited resources and persistent security concerns. Our team is steadfast in providing direct support, focusing on creating safe spaces for healing and recovery. They are also collaborating with local leaders to preserve and uplift the rich cultural heritage that is integral to the Yazidi identity. We remain committed to amplifying their stories and ensuring global attention and support for their journey toward justice and empowerment. Let’s come together to make sure their voices are heard. 🌏 #YazidiGenocide #SupportYazidis #HumanRights #CommunityHealing #NonprofitWork

War. All war brings our the worst of humanity. Diplomacy is the only way. It is not impossible. It is very possible. To the US who has supported this war - your values and morals, have gone into the garage. The young kids you train to go to war, who are taught to keep civilian lives safe and respect international law. You have made a joke out of your values. No integrity. No diplomacy. All around. No integrity. No respect for human life. Innocent civilan lives. Playing lives like a game of chess. The moral failure. The lack of intelligence. The failure to protect innocent lives… You failed in every way possible. No morals. No ethics. No integrity. No intelligence. No respect for human life.
Your generosity has brought lifesaving relief to families in Northern Gaza, where famine continues to be a deadly threat. Through our emergency food response, thousands of children and families have received the critical nourishment they need to survive. Thank you for standing with PCRF. Your support is saving lives. 💙🕊 https://lnkd.in/gHgr7mqz #PCRF #Palestine #GazaRelief #Gaza #GazaStrip #EmergencyResponse #Famine #FeedGaza #SaveGaza #NonProfitOrganization #Humanitarianism #HumanitarianAid #NGO

🌍 Escapism – Humanity's roots in the African Congo Basin were unknown, and unnatural human conflict was unknowingly monetized. This alone sealed the fate of all human empires, leading them to inevitable collapse. 💡 Pleasure-seeking and pain-avoidance behaviors intensified as these unnatural hierarchies crumbled into chaos. The downfall of all 40 empires was predictable long before it happened. #Escapism #HumanHistory #NoesisProject #NonprofitOrganization #Nonprofit #Noesis

Question of the day: Are you currently sponsoring a family in Gaza? We are billion strong and God willing, we can move mountains one family at a time. There are many people doing this type of sponsoring, but no press & no social media coverage is given to this important form of resistance and support. Not everyone is an ER Dr. and can go into Gaza, but most people who have time to scroll social media CAN support financially and morally a family in Gaza. Sociology tells us the best way to communicate a point and get people to act is by appealing to their strengths and qualities. So, flooding media with posts modeling how people CAN HELP and CAN alleviate suffering is ESSENTIAL for MOVING people from paralysis to POSITIVE LIFE SUSTAINING ACTION 🇵🇸❤️✌🏽 and Allah knows best NB. this is not about donating to an NGO or fundraising campaign (may Allah reward all forms of donation to alleviate suffering and need), this is about a group of 10 to 15 people COMMITTING to supporting ONE Palestinian family on a monthly basis until this genocide ends and Palestine is free. SUSTAINED support is the least we can do when our brothers and sisters in Palestine (and Sudan, and Lebanon) are in survival mode for what feels like an eternity of months.

Re-Defining Philanthropy Sadaqa, or #voluntaryphilanthropy, is a cornerstone of Islamic practice and a prominent value within Somali communities. This focus goes beyond random acts of kindness. It fosters a spirit of mutual support, where neighbors help each other through challenges. This is deeply embedded in the social fabric of Somali society. #Philanthropy doesn't always require material wealth. Many acts of generosity come from individuals with limited resources, who offer their time (Waqti), strength (Xoog), and action (Waxqabad). “It is deep-rooted within the Somali tradition that the community helps each other when a crisis occurs; this is what we stand for as a group.” Khadija from Dhanaha Group in an IDP Camp in Badhan District, Sanaag Region #LocalSolutions: Adeso's Saxansaxo Approach Adeso's Saxansaxo approach prioritizes community ownership in humanitarian response. It recognizes the inherent generosity within communities and strengthens their efforts through microgrants. This approach fosters collective resilience and co-creates with communities to build a brighter sustainable future. 🫒 Let's Talk About the Olive Tree 🫒 Olive trees have rich and meaningful symbolism in many cultures and religions. Over time, the olive tree has become a universal symbol of peace, friendship, and prosperity. The phrase "extending an olive branch" is often used when people try to make amends. It is deeply sad that trees symbolizing peace and a huge part of the landscape in Gaza are being destroyed in this ongoing genocide. Families are forced to destroy their own olive trees for firewood to survive. This act damages one of the most enduring symbols of Palestine, which will no doubt leave deep wounds and lasting scars. Many of us understand the importance of trees like this. They often live for many generations, holding stories, memories, and knowledge. Trees listen to our stories, support us when we're upset, feed us, and clothe us. We climb them, make memories with them, and access generational knowledge through them. They are not just trees; they are part of our communities, our families, our friends. While I weep, scream, shout, and ache for the loss of human life in Gaza, I also weep for the trees that families and communities have lost. While we wait for an olive branch to be extended and a ceasefire to happen, it's important that we continue to find ways to extend peace and friendship to those in Gaza. Please read about Operation Olive Branch, who are doing incredible work for families in Gaza, and look for a way to donate and contribute. https://lnkd.in/gAeUTVR6

Such an important conversation to join - “We must find new ways to deliver aid that prioritize safety, security, and direct impact. This is not just a logistical challenge but a moral one, requiring a committed re-evaluation of how philanthropy interacts with the most vulnerable populations in times of crisis. … And there is another, more sensitive, consideration we have to address as a sector: At what point do we insist that philanthropy cannot remain neutral if it is going to properly carry out its “duty of care” when it comes to humanitarian aid? When do we dispense with the platitudes and confront the idea that, in some cases, we have to take a moral stand to do our jobs effectively?”
For our half-Palestinian CEO Naila Taji Farouky, watching the devastation of #Gaza causes both personal and professional anguish. As she says in her latest blog post, philanthropy is failing in its duty of care toward Gazans, who are grappling with the challenges of survival and displacement in the face of insurmountable violence and forced starvation - we need to do so much more.
