Global Growers Network’s Post

While many of Global Grower Network’s urban garden growers are primarily cultivating food for their own families, 26% also look to their production to earn supplemental income that can greatly contribute to self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship. In some cases, gardens open a pathway that leads to scaled farming and farm business opportunities. Growers, if they choses, can secure a primary family income, and a family lifestyle, as farmers in Georgia, where the average farmer age has risen to 59, the number of farmers and available farmland is steadily decreasing year after year.
