KU IT's NOC is hiring a night shift lead. Here's the link for those Operations types in my connections, who also have flexible circadian rhythms. (And yes, for the 455th time, I had to look up spelling of "rhythm." If you know how to spell that word, you might be part of the problem. It makes absolutely no sense. Does mentioning this help KU find a new employee? Probably not. And why does the job posting specifically say, "work schedule does not overlap with John's"? That seems a little specific and mean-spirited. Anyway, Rock Chalk!) https://lnkd.in/g8NVtjyu

I believe it's crucial not to mandate senior level experience for entry-level positions in IT. Recently spotted a Help Desk Technician role in Texas, offering $23/hour for a full-time remote position at a mid-senior level. With a decade of experience in IT across corporate and small business environments, I understand the challenges entry-level techs face. Let's prioritize inclusivity and growth opportunities in the IT field. #IT #HelpDesk #EntryLevelTech #RemoteWork 🙂

Should I Choose a $46K Team Lead Role or a $50K Desktop Support Job? #CareerChoices #HelpDesk #ITJobs #JobOffer #TeamLead #DesktopSupportTechnician Hey everyone! 😊 I’m in a bit of a quandary and could really use your thoughts. I have two job options on the table, and I need to figure out what’s best for my career in the long run. Here's the scoop: Current Situation: I’ve been working in a third shift help desk role for three years at my current company. They recently bumped my salary from $41K to $46K when I hinted at exploring new opportunities. That’s the starting pay for team leads! 💰 New Opportunity: I’ve been offered a contract-to-hire role in a large, well-known company at $24/hour (which would equate to about $50K annually). I’m told there’s a pretty good chance of becoming a full-time employee in 3 to 6 months. Company Culture: My current company has been reliable and supportive, but I haven’t seen the career advancement I was promised. The new job offers growth potential within a larger IT structure and isn't an MSP like where I am now. ... Answers: https://lnkd.in/g8cYRn-i Let's Connect!
