👷♀️In 2019, our global gender survey found that the Global South significantly lags behind with the share of women at 8% of the wind sector working in Africa and 15% in Asia-Pacific. There's still a lot of work to do to ensure these regions acclimate to better gender ratios. That is why GWEC is working with IRENA on the next Global Gender Survey, so we can review the progress that has been made and continue to focus on building a diverse workforce. This year's findings will provide the basis for a new edition of Renewable Energy: A Gender Perspective Report.
