Please also discuss humanitarian issues, as they are crucial because human beings are of utmost importance. In Pakistan, employees are suffering as their rights are being neglected, and organizations are not providing them with justice according to the laws and ILO standards. Delivering justice and rights must be the first priority. In Pakistan, particularly in OMC companies, it's a violation of the law that workers / staff are not made permanent even after five, ten, and more years of service. This is a clear breach of their rights.

And it's a wrap for this first international conference on PEN-Plus in Africa that I had the pleasure to attend on behalf of World Heart Federation, with strong words from Dr Mohammed Abdulaziz from Africa CDC encouraging us to scale-up efforts to ensure access to NCD services for everyone everywhere. Inaction is more expensive than investing in simple, cost-effective interventions to #beatNCDs.

Earlier today, Marjolein Jongman and I had the privilege of participating in the #IFC Days event, where we saw Egypt's Prime Minister and several high-ranking officials, along with representatives from the private sector. The partnership between IFC and the Egyptian government is built on three pillars: employment, inclusion, and integration, with the ultimate goal of driving sustainable economic growth in Egypt. 📈 It was interesting to hear from the Minister of Planning on the strong need to align universities and schools with the needs of the private sector. This is crucial for providing skilled students who can contribute to the growth of Egyptian agribusinesses and SMEs. 📚 During a panel discussion with representatives from the private sector and several banks on how to improve Egyptian exports, it was interesting to hear that there is a need to improve the agrologistics sector, including enhancing transportation efficiency, energy-efficient solutions, and reducing export time. ⏱️ By tackling these challenges, we can unlock sustainable export opportunities and attract more foreign investment to the Egyptian market. 📊 I see a strong potential for Dutch companies and knowledge institutes to play a role in filling this gap, and I'm looking forward to meeting new Dutch partners at the upcoming Sahara Expo in September! 🎉 https://lnkd.in/dy5Asjtv NL-Masr Agri-food Network #IFCDays #Egypt #SustainableGrowth #EconomicDevelopment #Marketopportunities
