Global Forum Shaping the Future’s Post

A big thank you to our great speakers and participants for a wonderful session filled with stimulating and insightful discussions on Creative Innovative Cities & Energy and Water Transition. Ruth Prelicz opened the discussions with an introduction in energy transition and a specific focus on the role of hydrogen, illustrated by examples from Oman and Germany. International collaboration and partnerships are essential in addressing global energy and climate challenges, which is even more true for an emerging sector like hydrogen. Laurent Fauroux gave an insight in the role of water in energy transition. Energy production is a thirsty business and an integrated approach to energy and water management can help reduce risks on both fronts. Energy and water stewardship should go hand in hand and AI can be a powerful tool on that journey. In her presentation, Dr. Sylvie Albert adeptly linked the topics of energy and creative innovative cities. She provided a number of impressive examples of innovative and creative developments by cities and their stakeholders. Cities recognize the importance of innovation and creativity and innovation is increasingly linked to sustainability. Gonçalo Canto Moniz, addressed the challenges and (nature-based!) solutions for the co-creation of healthy corridors for creative and inclusive cities by sharing the experience made within the URBiNAT H2020 Project. We learned that co-creation and co-governance are key for success. Last but not least, Eric Legale, presented the pilots realized by the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux as part of the H2020 project Artcast4D. The pilots aim to bring together citizens and local artists to create collective interactive works in the new city centre and provide a new experience with engaging and meaningful immersive artworks. Great panelists and an exceptional audience! Thanks again for being with us and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
