Geothermal energy offers more than just reliable power—it’s a game-changer for Canada’s energy mix. DEEP is utilizing a binary cycle power generation system that harnesses earth heat from deep saline aquifers. This process allows us to produce electricity while maintaining a small environmental footprint and a steady, baseload power supply 365 days a year. By advancing geothermal technology, DEEP is creating a scalable and sustainable solution that will support Canada’s transition to a diversified, low-carbon energy future. 🌍 https://deepcorp.ca/ #GeothermalTechnology #BaseloadPower #EnergyTransition #GeothermalCanada #SustainableDevelopment

Do you have any examples where #policy has significantly impacted an industry's shaping or transformation? This question struck me as I watched the launch of our latest project – GeoTV For decades, we have witnessed how different energy policies can lead to varying energy mixes across markets. The impact has not only been present in the past or now, but even longer. In this video, #EDC shared the #Philippine's geothermal journey, which stemmed from an oil crisis pushing them to search for energy independence. This policy shift ultimately led to the nation ranking in the top 5 for installed geothermal energy capacity worldwide. Indeed, policy serves as the bedrock for every industry, providing the nurturing environment necessary for growth. So, how shall we shape today’s geothermal policy landscape to guide us toward a sustainable future? There are many more insights you would find in GeoTV. Watch now: https://hubs.la/Q02vlP9S0 Kudos to the many brilliant minds who made this video: Kristina Hagström-Ilievska, Gabriella Skog, Alexander Richter Baseload Capital ThinkGeoEnergy #GeoTV #GeothermalEnergy #Sustainability #Collaboration #BaseloadCapital #ThinkGeoEnergy #OrmatTechnologies

💡 Geothermal energy, also known as earth heat, is a proven, clean, and renewable powerhouse that delivers continuous baseload power, emitting minimal to zero pollutants. ♻️ Its small environmental footprint per unit output makes it a green champion in energy solutions. For geothermal magic to happen, we need three ingredients: essential heat, a rock formation that can transfer that heat, and a medium (usually water) to bring this underground heat to the surface. DEEP Earth Energy is on a mission to expand to additional power sites, actively seeking additional project areas and exploring partnerships with companies holding oil and gas leases, along with freehold land. Together, we're driving the future of sustainable energy! https://deepcorp.ca/ #geothermalenergy #renewableenergy #cleanenergy #geothermalcanada #geothermal

Check out our article on Heather Chalmers of GE Vernova, delivering hydro solutions for a sustainable future from our November/December issue. GE Vernova, established in 2024 as the spinoff of General Electric’s (GE) energy business, helps clients worldwide navigate the energy transition with electrification and decarbonization solutions. One of those solutions is pumped hydro, which creates giant water batteries that provide over 90 percent of the world’s long-duration electricity storage capacity, says Heather Chalmers, the president and CEO of GE Vernova in Canada and the president of GE Vernova’s hydropower business in North America. The company recently helped build one of Europe’s largest pumped storage projects: Nant de Drance in Switzerland, a 900-megawatt variable- speed pumped storage project with a capacity of over 20 million kilowatt-hours whose six turbines are stored in giant caverns 2,000 feet under the Alps. In this interview, Ms. Chalmers talks with Hydro Leader about GE Vernova’s work developing new hydro and pumped storage facilities and refurbishing existing plants. She also talks about how service providers and clients can share risk in an era of supply chain and price uncertainty. https://bit.ly/3YwtjNW #HydroLeader #Hydro #GE #Hydroelectricity #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability
