It's official! EU extends the deadline for EUDR compliance. The European Parliament has already voted in favor of postponing the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115. The new compliance deadline is December 30, 2025 for large and medium-sized companies, and June 30, 2026 for small and micro enterprises, providing an additional 12 months for preparation. Key points approved: · Countryrisk classification and reporting system to be available by June 30, 2025. · A general review of the Regulation is foreseen in June 2028, during which additional measures to simplify and reduce the administrative burden for the companies that have to apply it will be analyzed. It should not be forgotten that the agreed text must also be approved by the Council and published in the EU Official Journal before the end of 2024.
