Project Nigeria on my mind. Just watched the Platform by Poju Oyemade and it was brilliant and practical. We can rise again with our collective efforts. We have one thing going for us our resilience and our youthful population. The mean age of most Nigerians is 18. if we position them we will definitely find the solutions we yearn for. Big Question -.What can we do with 18 year olds to rewrite the Nigerian narrative? Your ideas 💡 are welcome in the comments. #Nigeria #Nigerianyouths

As I walked through one of the small markets in Abuja recently, a loud bell caught my attention. There, amidst the crowd, stood a modern-day town crier—a rare sight in our tech-driven world. It made me reflect on how we receive information today. In precolonial Nigeria, town criers were vital for spreading news, especially to those without formal education. Even now, in many parts of the country where digital access is limited, their role remains crucial. Considering that almost half of the Nigerian population live in rural areas, could this ancient practice help bridge the communication gap and combat misinformation? As we embrace advanced technology, perhaps we should also revive the valuable lessons from our past. Is there value in enhancing the art of "town crying" across Nigeria, especially as a preparatory measure for potential crises like pandemics or technological failures? Could we develop this art into an exportable technology or practice, uniquely rooted in Nigerian tradition but adaptable to other contexts? #HistoryOfMassCommunicationInNigeria #PublicRelations #CulturalPreservation #InformationDissemination #RuralDevelopment #DigitalDivide #Nigeria #CommunicationStrategy #Academia #Research #ThoughtLeadership
