🙏 Vivent #Biosignals is proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the 33 innovative projects to receive funding from Innosuisse’s 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿. This funding comes as part of the transitional measures for Horizon Europe, with a total allocation of 60.4 million Swiss francs awarded to support groundbreaking 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽𝘀. The Swiss Accelerator aims to develop and scale novel products and services with significant innovation potential and the ability to positively contribute to the #SDGs. 🌱 Vivent Biosignals’ successful application was part of a competitive process, with 373 short applications received, of which only 45 reached the final pitch stage. We’re thrilled to introduce the nine innovative entrepreneurs who have been selected for the Accelerate Green START Autumn 2024 programme. These trailblazers are leading the way in sustainable solutions across sectors like renewable energy, carbon capture, and biodiversity restoration. Over the next six weeks, they will receive training, mentorship, and business support to help accelerate their growth in Ireland and beyond. Meet the participants: WindCapture Technologies – Dublin-based innovators combining wind power with carbon capture. Restore Innovation Ltd – Nature-based solutions for offshore energy from Sligo. Volta Robotics – Cork startup driving second-life EV battery solutions. Ecoroots LTD – Sustainable materials through mycelium-based technology, also from Cork. BIONUA – Dublin-based experts in climate farming and biodiversity restoration. Range Therapy – Second-life EV battery energy storage solutions from Kildare. Agri Data Analytics – Offaly’s innovators with a Bovine Breathalyser for GHG measurement. Reasire – Cork-based real asset data organisers for sustainable infrastructure. Anaula – Dublin innovators in scalable algae bioreactors for CO2 capture. The programme culminates in an exciting showcase event on November 28th, where these entrepreneurs will pitch to industry experts. AgriTech North has successfully completed an OCIP Innovation Challenge! 📚Partnered with experts from Carleton University, AgriTech North is developing a method for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) to eliminate refrigerant-based air conditioning and dehumidification, which can reduce energy demand of these energy-intensive operations by up to 30%. 💬 “OCIP closes the gap between project concept and final product realization.
