The future schedule for Banana Ball may be one of the most challenging things we've ever worked on. The question remains - How to build a schedule that is truly fans first and impacts the most fans possible. It would be easy to play all of our games at one stadium in one city. But we realize there are hundreds of cities and thousands of fans around the country that deserve the opportunity to see our show. How do we keep a balanced schedule and make the travel work for all the teams? How do we find ways to impact more fans when there are only so many stadiums and very few that host more than 10,000 fans. How do we not host a season that is so long that fans lose interest? It's an unbelievable hard challenge and balance to try to create. And we certainly don't know all the answers. But our fans will guide us we aren't afraid to try anything if it can impact more fans. We started this thing with a One City World Tour in front of 7,000 fans just three years ago. In 2025, we will make our way to 40 cities and over 2 million fans. What's ahead for 2026? With the launch of the Banana Ball Championship League we have to think differently and we are ready to break the rules for our fans.

Just when you thought you had your serve locked in... the PPA Tour stirs the pot with a new serve rule. The latest update adds complexity, introducing restrictions on ball toss height and how you swing. Naturally, this has everyone questioning: is this the end of the power serve as we know it? Or just another wrinkle to master? Time to see how your serve stacks up against the new standard. #pickleball #ppatour #rules

New Post: Raygun Is the Top-Ranked Breaker in the World? Sport’s Governing Body Explains - https://lnkd.in/g8zaqFUY - Australian breaker Rachael Gunn, or “b-girl Raygun,” holds the top spot in her sport’s latest world rankings despite Olympic performances that led to online ridicule. On Tuesday, the sport’s governing body issued a statement to “provide clarity” on why Raygun tops the rankings. Related Australian Breakdancer Raygun Calls Social Media Hate Over Olympic Performance ‘Pretty Devastating… 08/15/2024 Raygun, a 37-year-old university lecturer from Sydney, failed to score any points at the Paris Olympics in routines that included a “kangaroo” dance. The World DanceSport Federation said the ranking methodology is based on each athlete’s top four performances within the past 12 months — but excludes Olympic events including the Paris Games and Olympic qualifier series events in Shanghai and Budapest. Additionally, no ranking events were held between December 2023 and the Olympics — to allow athletes to focus on qualification. The federation clarified that the unusual circumstances of this year’s competition schedule resulted in many athletes being ranked based on a single event. In Raygun’s case, her first-place finish at the Oceania continental championships in October 2023 earned her 1,000 points. Many within the breaking community have criticized the rankings for not giving a clear picture of breaking as a sport and as a culture. “Speaking of the WDSF, they actually don’t have any real merit with the breakers or the breaking community,” said Zack Slusser, vice president of Breaking for Gold USA. “And they also haven’t been able to organize events by their measure that would contribute to creating an accurate world ranking.” According to Slusser, breakers only performed in events organized by the WDSF — the Lausanne-based governing body for competitive dance sports — to get enough points to qualify for the Paris Olympics. Breakers “had no incentive, no desire to even continue participating with the WDSF after that,” Slusser said. “Because they’re not cultural events. They are not enjoyable.” - #news #business #world #jobs #school #passion
