Goods 4 Good had our first pop-up at the Festival of Solutions with 1 Million Women and it was a fantastic day! A huge thank you to Two Good Co for collaborating with us and generously giving away 10 of their recipe books to 10 lucky winners. Two Good's mission to rebuild self-worth and independence, and to support, empower, and employ women at risk of homelessness, is truly inspiring. We were also thrilled to have Jo and Fiona from Chocolate On Purpose and Karthika Sivarajan from Auroraz Soulful Gifts join us with their stalls. These two social enterprises are proudly part of the Goods 4 Good platform. This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with consumers who appreciate and support the positive change that social enterprises bring to the world. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made our participation in this event so special! 💛 hashtag #Goods4Good #FestivalOfSolutions #TwoGood #SocialEnterprise #PositiveChange #CommunitySupport

𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 🏳️🌈 It's June - Pride Month, and it’s hard not to notice the surge in partnership announcements and campaigns championing LGBTQS+ causes this month. Of course, this is similar for other causes during "their" month. 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴. But it's not just about the buzz, and it's not all awesome—these months pose unique challenges: 📍 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐬. 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: While companies may join in for visibility, we need to guide them towards meaningful financial commitments that create real impact. 📍 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐭: Not every corporate idea will align with our values or capabilities. It’s crucial to ensure that both sides benefit without compromising our core principles. 📍 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: The true test of a partnership’s value is its sustainability beyond the awareness month. We aim for ongoing support, not just one-time gestures. 𝘈𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳: 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥. 📣 Let’s use the spotlight effectively to forge lasting partnerships that extend beyond the calendar. ✨ Ending the White Ribbon #16DaysOfAction Campaign ✨ As we close this year’s #16DaysOfAction campaign, we are overwhelmed by the brilliant engagement across all our social media channels and from our incredible community. 💬✨ Your likes, shares, comments, and conversations show the passion and drive for real change in acknowledging the devastating impact of Violence Against Women and Girls on society as a whole. At Coming Home, we focus on women serving short sentences for non-violent offences. These women are not hardened criminals; they are mothers, daughters, survivors. Too often, their sentences don’t address the root causes of their challenges - domestic violence, childhood trauma, sexual abuse. Instead, they are thrust into an inefficient system that offers no healing, no rehabilitation, just a revolving door back to crisis. We don’t excuse wrongdoing, but we believe in justice that prioritises rebuilding lives, not breaking them further. A short prison sentence might seem inconsequential to some, but the impact is profound - the loss of a home, a job, custody of children, and most painfully, hope. These women are more than the worst mistake they’ve made, they are human beings with untapped potential and untold resilience. We commit to - 🔥 Always being vocal. 🌟 Always being visible. 🚀 Always forging a new path, a brighter future, and a healing pathway for women like us. Like me. Women full stop. We will stand for - 🌟 A way that listens to stories and acknowledges pain. 🌟 A way that offers tools to heal and rebuild. 🌟 A way that ensures every woman, no matter her past, has a path to a brighter, safer, and more stable future. This isn’t about making excuses. It’s about making a difference. For women. For families. For society as a whole. Because when women thrive, communities thrive. This isn’t just a campaign - it’s a movement. And we’re just getting started. 💪✨ 📢 #EndVAWG #JusticeForWomen #ComingHomeProject #16DaysOfAction #WhiteRibbonCampaign #ReformNotPunishment #HopeAndHealing #TraumaInformedCare Together, we will build a system that empowers, heals, and transforms. 🌱💜

It’s often said that you truly discover who supports you when you need it the most. During my journey in the voting process for GynaGuard, I was reminded of this in many ways. However, despite these challenges, the outpouring of support from complete strangers 👏 people I didn’t even know has been a humbling reminder of the power of kindness and solidarity. It has shown me that there are people out there who truly believe in what you're doing and will cheer for your success even without any personal gain. This is the essence of true support, and it's what drives progress and positive change in the world ✨ Now, winning GynaGuard would be more than just a personal achievement. It would be a monumental victory for women ♀️ everywhere. The product itself is revolutionary in its focus on women’s health, specifically in the area of feminine care. But beyond that, my winning represents something far greater, the idea that women can and should lift each other. Women supporting women isn’t just a catchy phrase, it’s the key to empowering one another, breaking barriers, and creating a stronger, more united community 🙌 When we as women stand behind one another, magic happens. We become the foundation for each other’s dreams, the strength that fuels each other’s growth, and the unwavering support system that can change the world. My journey to winning GynaGuard is about more than just the prize, it’s about setting an example of what it means to stand tall, to be resilient, and to empower others, especially other women along the way. So, as I reflect on the challenges and the unexpected support I've received, I am reminded of the importance of fostering that sisterhood. Winning GynaGuard would not only redefine new opportunities, but it would also send a powerful message: that when women support women, we are unstoppable. Let's be the generation that chooses to uplift, support, and celebrate each other’s victories 💓 To the men, Supporting a woman in her journey isn’t about words, it’s about action. Real support means showing up, amplifying her voice 🙌 and celebrating her victories. So ask yourself: Are you really an ally, or just a spectator? #womenempowerment #faceofgynaguard2024 #suddenrealization #upliftment #realsupport

🎉 It’s Giving Tuesday! Join Me in Empowering Women Everywhere 🌟 Today, I reflect on an incredible journey—one that began as a member of Women on the Rise International, Inc. I and has led me to serve as the Vice Chair of the Board. This journey is more than a title; it’s a testament to the transformative power of Women on the Rise and its unwavering commitment to helping women reach their full potential. This organization’s mission is deeply personal to me because it aligns with the work I do every day as a mental health therapist and advocate for Black female entrepreneurs. Through its four powerful pillars—financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and personal wellness—Women on the Rise doesn’t just uplift women. It strengthens families and transforms entire communities. 💪🏾✨ I’ve experienced firsthand how these resources create lasting change. I’ve seen women take control of their finances, build meaningful careers, launch thriving businesses, and prioritize their mental and physical wellness—all while becoming leaders in their own homes and neighborhoods. Women on the Rise empowers women to not only succeed but to thrive. And today, I invite you to join this movement. Your support makes it possible for more women to access the resources and community they need to rewrite their stories of success. Whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, every donation helps us expand our reach and impact. Together, we can continue to build a world where every woman has the tools to rise. Click the link to give and help us make a difference: https://lnkd.in/gyfPis5h Thank you for your generosity and belief in the power of women helping women. Why is it that when Movember comes around, the moustaches spring up everywhere? 🤔 Every office, every Zoom call, every LinkedIn post - it’s like men are 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘭𝘺 declaring, “Look at my contribution to this cause!” And honestly, it’s brilliant. ✅✅✅ Raising awareness for men’s health in such a visible, bold way is exactly what advocacy should look like. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘱 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦: when’s the last time you saw women make such a statement for their causes? There’s no parade of hairy legs or armpits for Women’s Health Week or International Women’s Day (though I’d love to see the reaction if we did! 🤣). Women’s causes are just as worthy, yet the visibility - especially from women 𝘢𝘯𝘥 their allies - feels muted. Why the disparity? Is it because women are conditioned to “not make a fuss”? Or are women’s health and equity issues seen as less comfortable topics? Maybe both. Here’s what we can do to balance the scales: 𝟭. 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Treat women’s causes with the same unapologetic pride as Movember. Want to show solidarity for women’s issues? Be loud about it. Wear that t-shirt, change that profile picture, start the conversations. 𝟮. 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆: Men don’t feel awkward about showing off their moustaches - so let’s normalise visible support for women’s causes too, for everyone. 𝟯. 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽’𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: If you’re in a leadership position, set the tone. Your advocacy can give others permission to join in. To be clear: I 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 what Movember achieves, and I fully support it. But if we’re going to grow moustaches for men’s health, let’s also show up 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 for the issues that matter to women. Because when advocacy becomes unbalanced, so do the results. What do you think - how can we bring more balance to visibility for these important causes? Let’s start that conversation right here. #ValuedAtWork #InclusiveWorkplaceCultures #Advocacy

Today's Women Living Fearlessly featured author is Bethany Chambers! ✨ Merry Go Round Toys’ was born in 2023 despite me having our logo commissioned 5 years previously the timing was now ripe. Merry Go Round Toys keeps developmental tools accessible and affordable, counteracting the troubling trend of such items becoming luxury goods. Our approach efficiently capitalizes on the circular economy concept, where products are given new life, and buyers are assured of items’ completeness and condition without harmful chemical usage. Presently no-one else is addressing the fact that 80% of preloved childrens toys end up in our landfill, oceans or incinerated. To be replaced with poor quality cheaply made items which only compound the issue with their manufacture and over supply. Merry Go Round Toys is more than just a toy retailer but a business underpinned with a strong ethos partnering with organisations like Redland Bay Men’s Shed, Share the Dignity and Houses of Hope program. With the inclusion of toy packs for children in vulnerable housing situations, volunteering and monetary donations, We have ambitiously elevated our role from a mere retailer to a key supporter of our community’s well-being. Throughout #WomensHistoryMonth, we will be featuring the remarkable women driving success at Wedgewood, sharing their three guiding principles for success. Today we have Maria, Chief Financial Officer with her family: 1. Happy Family, Happy Worker I have often found I can focus and do a better job if I am not stressed about a family matter. Take care of your family, spend quality time with them and you will be a better employee for it. 2. Build Authentic Relationships Support is better when it is volunteered versus requested. When you have authentic relationships, those individuals want you to succeed and will go out of their way to help you in your career. 3. Simplify the Complex Too often we hear “that’s complicated” so our natural inclination is to not even try. Your starting position should always be “I can do this” and break the task down into simpler steps and go for it. You can never accomplish something if you don’t even try. Join us as we honor Maria and other inspiring women throughout the month! Stay tuned for more stories of empowerment and success. #WomenInBusiness #WomenInVeterinaryHealth #VeterinaryMedicine
