Helping small businesses win federal contracts: AI Tools | Expert Guidance | Supportive Community

Here's what I would do this morning if I wanted to increase my visibility to federal buyers These DSBS updates can be done very quickly. 1. Add a link to your Capability Statement | Make sure it goes to your website so buyers can learn more about your company. 2. Make sure 'Accepts Government Credit Cards?' is set to 'Yes' | If you can't accept a credit card, then how can you accept a million-dollar contract? 3. Add 'Current Principals', at least the owners | People buy from people, not companies; let them see you. 4. Answer the question "What do you do?" in the 'Capabilities Narrative' field. Use at least 900 of the 1,000 characters, making sure to include your top 5-10 keywords. 5. Add as many extra keywords buyers might use to find a company like yours in the 'Special Equipment/Materials' field. Use at least 900 of the 1,000 characters. 6. Make sure you have at least 10 NAICS codes that buyers use when buying what you sell. 7. Figure out and add any keywords not already used in the other two fields and add them here. Add 25 additional keywords a buyer might search for your company. 8. Add your last three years of experience in the 'Past Performance (References)' section. Let buyers know that you've been paid for the work you're selling now. Add federal, state, local, commercial, etc. FREE TOOLS: Put "DSBS Tools" in the comment if you want access to the AI tools, we use with our customers to automatically find NAICS codes or generate keywords. ___________________________________ 🔥 Join 18,935 others and subscribe to our GovCon newsletter | https://lnkd.in/es6qfwgk 👀 Follow me (Neil McDonnell) on LinkedIn and hit the 🔔 on my profile to see more government contracting content like 33,148 other people do.

I'll be following up with those of you who commented but wanted to remind everyone to post your Capability Statement here on LinkedIn in your personal profile and company page. Increase that visibility.

DSBS Tools Your suggestions worked! Raised my score from 54 to 88. Not sure what else I can do to get to 100. Any suggestions? Thanks! Abe, Aspire Systems & Consulting, LLC

DSBS tools Just curious. How often is the visibility score updated? I updated 2 company profiles a month ago and the changes are not reflected on the visibility score

Great tips! I'd also suggest keeping your Capability Statement updated with recent successes. Buyers want to see proven results, so making your value clear and accessible is key!
