Sea Travel: A Possible future of Indian Tourism? 🌊 I was watching Dil Dhadakne Do.. the other day, and it got me thinking... In the movie, you see them taking this luxurious cruise ship through the Mediterranean for a 10-day vacation. And while that’s great, I couldn’t help but wonder— Why don’t we have more of this in India? We have an incredible coastline. A peninsula that touches the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean. Historically, sea travel was the way our ancestors connected with other continents, traded goods, and explored the world. It was essential. And honestly… kind of cool.😎 But today? Sea travel has become either ridiculously expensive or completely redundant. We fly. We drive. But we hardly ever sail. Imagine if we could change that. Affordable sea travel connecting cities like Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Vizag and Goa. Not just for luxury vacations, but as a serious mode of transportation—letting people experience India from the sea, with stunning views, fresh air, and maybe even a chance to disconnect from the fast pace of life. And let’s be honest… road travel isn’t as exciting as it used to be. Elevated highways have made every road trip look the same. No more stopping by villages, exploring local shops, or soaking in the culture. It’s just fast roads and toll booths. But a journey by sea? That could be something entirely different. So, here’s a thought: What if India became a hub for sea travel, with thriving businesses offering everything from short coastal trips to longer vacations? What if this became the next big thing in travel? It’s a future I’d love to see. What about you? Would you trade a road trip for a sea voyage? #SeaTravel #IndianTourism #FutureOfTravel #CoastalIndia #Cruise

64% Indian travellers booking 2 months ahead; eyeing visa-free destinations While early planning rules, there’s a noticeable rise in spontaneous travellers making last-minute plans, with 36% of this cohort being young travellers. Travellers are notably spending an average of INR 2.6 lakhs per trip, reflecting a shift toward higher investment in unforgettable travel experiences, shows a Pickyourtrail report. With 64% of travellers planning two months ahead, Indians are opting for stress-free, pre-planned holidays over last-minute scrambles, shows Pickyourtrail’s first International Getaways Travel Trends Report – Festive Edition. In contrast, only 14% of travellers are finalizing their plans within one month of their travel dates. These trips vary in duration, from shorter getaways of 3-4 nights to extended, immersive vacations lasting 14-15 nights, offering travellers a more enriching and relaxed experience, the report says. #Indian #travellers #Booking #twomonths #VisaFree #Destinations #Early #Planning #PrePlanned #Holidays #travel #traveling #traveladvisor #travelindustry #travelagent TraveLICE

Destination dupes a travel trend for the modern explorer. A new travel trend is emerging—the rise of destination dupes. Fueled by the boundless reach of social media, tourists are venturing offbeat destinations, seeking alternatives to overcrowded hotspots for a truly unforgettable #experience. These dupes offer not only respite from the crowds but also a chance to discover hidden gems waiting to be unearthed. In India, travelers are embracing this trend, opting for Gokarna over #Goa and Thekkekadu over Alleppey. But beyond the allure of affordability and uniqueness lies a deeper shift in consumer behavior. This trend isn't just a passing fad—it's a testament to a growing desire for authentic experiences and meaningful connections with destinations. Tourism activities temporarily banned in Kerala's coastal areas: Precautions to take Due to the rough seas experienced in many coastal areas of Kerala, beach tourism activities have been halted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur districts. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), a central government agency that issues weather warnings for fishermen in the country, has found that as a result of the low-pressure system moving into the Indian Ocean, very high waves -- which reached 11 meters at some places -- were created and reached the Kerala coast. The waves, known as the 'swell surge' or 'kallakkadal' (as it is locally known), are likely to continue on the eastern coast of India (Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal) and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The term 'kallakkadal' literally means a sea which comes suddenly like a thief. The waves are expected to continue tonight on Kerala coasts and probably in the following days as well. https://lnkd.in/gzSUHxgk #tourism #activities #temporarily #banned #kerala #coastal #areas #precautions #beach #halted #thiruvananthapuram #kollam #alappuzha #thrissur #districts #INCOIS #destinations #bookings #itineraries #emergency #tourismhelpline #travel #traveling #traveladvisor #travelindustry #travelagent TraveLICE TraveLICE Customercare
