What is CU SAFE? Great question! Let's go: 🟣 A toolkit for #CreditUnions, in partnership with local domestic violence resource centers (DVRCs), to unleash their superpowers and clip the strings of control for DV survivors, "empowering" them to achieve financial freedom. From setting up new checking accounts to providing mobile communication capability, it's about ensuring survivors can rebuild their financial life without the burdens of control. 🟣 An ecosystem of empathetic technology (“tempathy”) providers whose products "empower" you to create stronger connections with your members (and make sure DV survivors can cross that bridge to a better life) 🟣 Tangible strategies to adopt at #CreditUnion events so uncomfortable or potentially dangerous situations are avoided, while offering "empowerment" opportunities that also create community and raise women together 🟣 A platform to encourage sharing, where the great stories of our credit union movement can be heard, "empowering" the efforts at CUs small and large across the country; through podcasts and other media! In more words, it's: 🟣 CUs, in partnership with local domestic violence resource centers (DVRCs), unfurling their superpowers to clip the strings of control for DV survivors, "empowering" them to achieve financial freedom 🟣 An ecosystem of empathetic technology (“tempathy”) providers whose products "empower" you to create stronger connections with your members (and make sure those women from above can cross that bridge to a better life) 🟣 Tangible strategies to adopt at your events so uncomfortable or potentially dangerous situations are avoided, while offering "empowerment" opportunities that also create community and raise women together 🟣 A platform to encourage sharing, where the great stories of our credit union movement can be heard, "empowering" the efforts at CUs small and large across the country 🟣 Not unlike your favorite infomercial, "that's not all". The "empowerment" keeps going. Frankly, we're outraged that harassment and abuse is so prevalent and are committed to doing what we can to help those affected and reduce its occurrence.
