🔜 Business Trip to Italy Mirabilia #Food & #Drink The collaboration between Assocamerestero and the Italian Chambers of Commerce originated Mirabilia Network - Food & Drink, an ongoing project since 2016 aimed at promoting the food and wine heritage of the Italian Mediterranean diet, associating it with the promotion of certain areas of the Peninsula, which host #UNESCO heritage sites. Mirabilia Food & Drink, therefore, is an initiative that allows both Italian producers in the agri-food and wine sectors and international importers interested in quality Made in Italy, to meet and start commercial collaborations. The initiative consists of two different parts: 1️⃣ individual B2B meetings 2️⃣ educational tours of the area. 📌 This year, Mirabilia Food & Drink will take place from 13 to 17 October 2024, in #Perugia. The educational tours, therefore, will take place in #Umbria and the local producers involved will represent the excellence of the Region, showcasing local products such as wine, beer, spirits, coffee, oil, pasta, rice, cheese, truffles, cold cuts, legumes, sauces, bread, and desserts. 🇵🇹 In the last few posts, we discovered that Kerstin Houf was travelling in Portugal. Her aim was to push ahead with the planning and discussion of ProWein 2025 and to maintain an intensive dialogue with the winemakers from Portugal. The Portuguese joint stand at this year's ProWein was also a complete success and gave visitors the feeling of being on a trip to Portugal. Prowein 2024. What can be said other than that it was slow? The halls were filled with comments saying 'it's too expensive; vinexpo is better; the hotels in Paris are cheaper; the flights to Paris are cheaper and more abbundant; Paris is more fun than Düsseldorf (and let's not forget that for the second year in a row there were strikes that made things more difficult.) I tend to differ in this opinion. It's not that Vinexpo is better than Vinitaly or Prowein or otherwise. The real problem is that the wine business only needs one major international fair per year...not three. I don't care where this fair is. Another option is that they give wineries the opportunities to sign up every other year rather than every year. The fair organizer need to realize that their ultimate client is the fairgoer. I understand that a lot of money enters into the city thanks to Vinitaly/Prowein/Vinexpo, but if the fair doesn't have a positive cost benefit, then we fairgoers will invest in other ways. If they don't give us more options to increase our investments, then we will abandon them. We are in a post covid world and ready to rethink our investments. #prowein #vinitaly #vinexpo #dusseldorf

IMPACT CAVATAST returns one more year to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, a fair already consolidated over time and becoming the reference fair in the world of sparkling wines. In my opinion, for a fair of these characteristics to make a qualitative leap, the organization must have the ability to cause IMPACT, which is what I mean when I say the word IMPACT, to be able to cause a MEDIA IMPACT, an ECONOMIC IMPACT, a PROMOTIONAL IMPACT and an EMOTIONAL IMPACT. MEDIA IMPACT, the organization must concentrate its efforts prior to the event on creating a media expectation that generates relevant news and publicity to give prestige to the event. In this section it is vital to hold events prior to the fair, Presentation of the event in a unique place with the maximum number of personalities and prescribers in order to get the most information media, it is also key to have a powerful communication agency that manages this section. This is one of the weak points of the organization, since the presentation is only made with the presence of the Mayor, the Councilor for Tourism, the presenter of the local commercial sector and the president of the Confraria del Cava in front of only the media local and regional. ECONOMIC IMPACT, One of the essential parts of the event, this should be used to generate a short-term media ECONOMIC IMPACT, it must be able to have this impact in the medium and long term, currently the CAVATAST is not attractive for a large most of the producers of sparkling wines, since the number of producers present at the event does not exceed 25 exhibitors.
