Global Production Management Center I GPMC’s Post

The company visit to Weidmüller Deutschland took place on 11 April 2024 as part of our consortial benchmarking study, "Efficient and Sustainable Through Global Production Management." During our visit, we learned how an efficient network strategy and design can be developed using clean, methodical approaches. Specifically, empowering individual plants with self-responsibility based on their technological maturity levels helps streamline central areas. Furthermore, the implementation of situational task forces and preventive business interruption analyses was highlighted as effective measures for mitigating the consequences of disruptive events within the production network. We extend our sincere gratitude to Weidmüller Deutschland for their outstanding hospitality and the exclusive insights shared with us. Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the final conference of the consortium benchmarking study scheduled in Aachen on May 7, which will include the award ceremony honoring the 'Successful Practice' companies. #BenchmarkingStudy #GlobalProductionManagement #Efficiency #Sustainability #NetworkStrategy #MethodicalApproach #BusinessInsights #DisruptionMitigation #IndustryInsights #WeidmüllerInterface #CompanyVisit #ProductionOptimization #GPMC
