EFFRA, the European Factories of the Future Research Association has launched a petition on research and innovation in the manufacturing sector to urge decision-makers to pay more political attention to manufacturing and to allocate more funds to applied research in this sector. The frightened reminds us on this occasion that research in the field of manufacturing plays a crucial role in the creation of quality jobs, circularity, decarbonization of transport and energy, adaptation to societal change and development of defence systems. By prioritising manufacturing, Effra believes that it is possible to effectively address these challenges and ensure a prosperous future for Europe. In Framework Programme 10, a significant part of the activities should be devoted to manufacturing research, mainly through the Made in Europe partnership. By doubling funding and making the process efficient and fast, the goal is to attract industry and achieve faster and better results. According to the association, it is crucial to recognize the interconnected nature of manufacturing research and product development. ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
