"Jarette was speeding into the desert night with Delilah beside him. It was dead silent except for the sound of the truck’s engine and its wheels on the asphalt. Headlights struck the darkness illuminating a sliver of road ahead with nothing but sand, rocks, and scrub brush to their right and left. The tiny town of Baker was behind them now. It receded quickly after they reached the town limit. They were going from one speck on the map of Nevada to another. Back to Middlegate. At least that’s what Jarette believed, as he gripped the steering wheel." That's an excerpt from a new episode of my "Tedium" series, which was just published! Click the link to read "Delilah Reveals the Truth." Thank you to Paul Mansfield's transgressive fiction publication Redemption Magazine for putting this out. And thank you to wonderful editor May More for helping get the story in publishing shape. _________________ * Do you want to write fiction? * Do you want to publish it? Is your idea market-ready? Jessie van Breugel 🟣 has some great ideas to test market validation: Try this quick social media test: 1. Post a question: Don't just announce your product. Ask if people would be interested in a solution to a specific problem. 2. See the "hand-raisers": Likes and comments are good, but a credit card sale is a better metric (think prelaunch.) 3. Build based on validation: If the response is strong, it's a sign you might have a product-market fit. Now's the time to consider building. Why this matters: Building something nobody wants is a waste of time. Social media testing helps you gauge interest early on. P.S. Don't miss out on the complete 30-minute episode featuring an in-depth conversation with Jessie, a six-figure creator with a 40k audience on LinkedIn.
