Alpine f1 officially on sale? Occasion or not? As many of you know, at the beginning of the year, Andretti (with the Cadillac engine) was refused a Formula 1 contract at the beginning of 2024. But now a new opportunity seems to have opened up for the American team. In fact, after questionable management choices, the comings and goings of Team Princial and a car that is the slowest, Renault's decision to sell the team now seems only a matter of time (Alpine is still owned by Renault). So you'll think there's no problem for a potential buyer... But this is not the case. In fact, as reported by motorsport.com, among the team's sale clauses there would be the obligation to continue using the French engines until 2029 which are currently far below their rivals from Ferrari, RBPT and Mercedes. In any case, this constraint would automatically drive away many buyers, Andretti for example alredy collaborates with Cadillac (and has also just opened its own headquarters in Silverston with a potential view to 2026). #formula1 #F1 #Alpine #Formula1 Pierre Gasly during qualifying for the 2024 Suzuka GP. The Aston Martin Valkyrie just flexed its muscles at Silverstone, smashing the production car lap record by more than 10 seconds with a blazing time of 1:56.42. That makes it the first production car to complete the 3.661-mile circuit in under two minutes—fitting for a hypercar developed with Red Bull Racing tech and packing a 1,160-hp hybrid powertrain. Piloted by Le Mans legend Darren Turner, the $3 million Valkyrie outpaced the previous record holder, a tuned Porsche 911 GT2 RS, by a massive margin. Sure, it’s still a half-minute behind Max Verstappen’s F1 lap, but for a street-legal car, it’s basically lapping the competition. #robbreport #luxury #astonmartin #automotive #cars

🚨 Cadillac Set to Join Formula 1 in 2026! 🚨 With F1 Las Vegas weekend in the rear view mirrors we can look forward to the announcement that this major deal is finalized, with an official announcement expected next week, the buzz around the Las Vegas GP was high, Liberty Media chose to keep this news under wraps—at least for now. Here’s what we know so far: • Andretti Name Dropped: Despite being based at Andretti Global’s Silverstone headquarters, the team will race under the Cadillac banner not Andretti who has been shunned by the FIA even after Michael Andretti’s step down in the successful racing company he helped build. • Power Units: Ferrari engines will power Cadillac’s cars in 2026 and 2027, with General Motors set to produce its own engines starting in 2028. • Development Location: Reports suggest the car is being developed at Toyota’s wind tunnel facility in Cologne. • Massive Entry Fee: Cadillac is expected to pay between $200M and $600M to offset prize pool impacts on current teams. McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has hinted at the move, with Brown calling it “inevitable” and exciting for fans and the sport. This marks another major manufacturer entering F1 after Audi—set to debut in 2026. Exciting times ahead for the sport! What do you think about Cadillac joining Formula 1? #F1 #CadillacF1 #Formula1r

Thoughts on #365GTB4 🏁🏁 The style of the #365GTB4 was iconic. Its vast bonnet emphasised the #V12power beneath. This was a mighty beast, more #muscular warhorse than rampant pony. The Colombo V2 had grown to 4.4 litres, from the 3.3 of the previous #275GTB4 The soft poetry of the 275 GTB4’s lines had been sharpened into a muscular wedge. The short, sharp tail further emphasised the length of the nose. It was a car #dominated by that #front-mounted #engine and its promise of power. As the fastest road #Ferrari of its time, the 365GTB4 was a logical (and successful) choice for the #racetrack Which it duly delivered. Maximum #power was 352 hp, and top speed was 280 km/h – by some margin, the fastest road Ferrari up to that time. And while it bucked the emerging #trend to supercars that placed their engines behind their drivers, the #Daytona was generally thought superior to mid-rear engined rivals in handling and predictability. Its excellent #weight distribution – helped by the #rear transaxle and a V12 sited largely aft of the front axle – clearly helped. For proof, it would go on to be a highly #successful sports racer. #Competition versions would win their #class in the #LeMans 24-hour race in 1972, 1973 and 1974. As late as 1979 – six years after it ceased production – a Daytona would finish second outright in the Daytona 24-hour race. Ferrari Scuderia Ferrari Fast Auto Technic Co.
