We are proud to have played a part in shaping the ‘Women in Hockey, supported by Grant Thornton’ event in Brussels, organised by La Ligue Francophone de Hockey. Collaborating with Hockey Belgium on such impactful initiatives is an absolute honor. This inspiring event brings together Francophone club leaders to discuss actionable strategies for empowering women in all aspects of hockey. Nadia Clinckspoor, Partner at Grant Thornton Belgium, took the stage to highlight the critical need for greater diversity in leadership. The first part of the morning was packed with inspiring and great keynotes: ◾ Marie Brasseur discussed the projects, vision, and ambitions of the Ligue Francophone de Hockey. ◾ Nadia Clinckspoor highlighted the significant role Grant Thornton plays in promoting equal opportunities for everyone. ◾ Géraldine Zeimers explored the barriers to and incentives for female participation in sports. ◾ Jennifer Foucart delved into the motivational factors that encourage women's involvement in sports activities. ◾ Ellen Schouppe addressed the unique aspects of coaching young girls and women in field hockey. After the keynotes we joined interactive brainstorming sessions, to explore solutions and shape actionable steps. This event was a powerful reminder that real change starts with conversations like these. Thank you, Hockey Belgium, La Ligue Francophone de Hockey and everyone who participated.
